Islands Dining Room evening character dining??

Has anyone been to the evening character dining at the Islands Dining Room? Is it a buffet or is there a menu? I have made a resi for a Wednesday evening. I was told it was Woody Woodpecker and Scooby Doo. Will there be other characters? Is it similar to a Disney character dining? Any info would be appreciated.

Adults have a menu. There are some nice asian infusion recipes on there. I believe there is a kids' buffet but our kids aren't young enough for that anymore so I can't be totally sure.

The dining is similar to Disney with the characters walking around to the tables for pictures and autographs. When we were there, there were only two characters. I'm not even sure who they were.

it would be the characters they told you.

by chance, scooby's side kick could also be there as scooby doesn't really talk much.

all the hotel character meals are based on the guests ordering off the menu.

it isn't quite like disney's character meals as the universal characters will spend plenty of time with you and the family.
so much time that your food might get cold if you let them continue to entertain you at dinner.......

another difference will be is the characters will talk directly to you in character.

We usually go every year, and like OP said its a menu, and the food is excellent in Islands. Have never seen Woody Woodpecker, usually Scooby and Shaggy, although i was told that S&S where moved to Monday as Simpsons did a Wednesday now, maybe Simpsons was not as popular as S&S

When we were there in June it was Scooby and Shrek

We saw Scoob & Shaggy.

There is a kid's buffet and a kid's menu.
We enjoyed our meal there. Our server was excellent!
