Thank you.

VGF1 had ~2.5m points and VGF2 added another ~2m. PVB1 was 4m and I think PVB2 adds about 3.5m?

VGF2 put 50% in the first declaration. I’m not sure what percent is PVB2’s first declaration.

I think that will matter too. It’s not just the number of rooms, but the room sizes and points. VGF1 had more points than VGF2 even though VGF2 had twice as many rooms.
Sometimes it's easier to discuss in terms of points and other times accommodations. VGF2 was 100% declared before it opened. So they added 202 more accommodations while only selling a fraction of the 2 million points it represented.

Poly will only add a fraction of Island Tower rooms in the first couple months while owners of the original 4 million points will all have access to the IT rooms. It's going to make for very limited availability.

I'm betting a chunk of that 40 room inventory will be set aside as "Welcome Home" bookings for new members. It's going to be hard to sell those contracts if new buyers don't have reasonably quick access to those rooms.
I don't see how the timeshare manager could legally do that. Owners have rights to declared rooms under the 11/7 windows. The manager doesn't get to decide that other criteria should be used to divvy up a portion of that inventory.

Captain Cooks will possibly be absolutely slammed in the mornings now for breakfast, right? Kona Cafe too?
Kona's is always slammed. But they can simply turn people away. Captain Cook's has to take everyone there, even if the line is long.

Also, question--does anyone recall what the minimum add-on was for the Grand F. 50 points? Will there be 50 point add-ons allowed for the Tower sales?

Kona breakfast could turn into an ADR you need to secure right when your booking window opens.

At the top of my wishlist for unannounced areas--a hot tub similar in size to the one at the DVC pool at Boulder Ridge (but I couldn't this is coming based on the size of the pool)...and a non-Jofreys coffee cafe similar to the one in the Riviera. Here's hoping. Why every DVC doesn't have a cafe that makes espresso (and not from a computer controlled system) is beyond me. That's a big chunk of money left on the table.

I thought VGF2 was split 50/50 in 2 different declarations. https://dvcnews.com/resorts/grand-f...-condo-associationth-anniversary-celebration/

“In a series of filings with the Orange County Comptroller's office, Disney Vacation Club has amended the Ground Lease, Declaration of Condoninium and Membership Agreement to begin adding the "phase 2" units to its Grand Floridian timeshare development. A total of 101 Resort Studios were added to the program, representing half of the 202 rooms which make up the project. The rooms formally added include most of the 3rd floor, plus all of the 4th and 5th floors of the Big Pine Key building.”

Yeah that could make the biggest difference in availability between VGF2 and PVB2 going live.

I believe rooms for welcome home stays are taken from undeclared rooms, that's why they're available when bookable rooms with points are sold out. But yes, I believe they'll push welcome home stays for new buyers, maybe even for addons in this case?

Let's start betting at what time people will start stalking them for a firework view. My money is on 5pm for the rail seats
I'd say earlier. Remember that fireworks time depends on when it gets dark. On November 1 sunset would be about 6:40 so I'd expect fireworks at 7 that night. On December 20, it is 5:30.

I just received my first DVC promo email for Poly from my guide. Did they release pricing? I have not contacted him back yet.

I haven’t received any emails about this and don’t even know who my Guide is. Will every owner (even resale) get these emails?

You probably don’t really have a guide yet. There’s a few threads here of people who’ve recommended their guides to people, you can always email one of them and they basically take you on as their client if they see you don’t have one. Or next time you’re in Disney and you vibe with one of the guides at the DVC kiosks, you can always ask them to be your guide. Or just call and ask to speak to a guide and pretty much the first one you speak to will take you on.

As far as getting emails, idk I feel like it’s so hit or miss. Sometimes I get emails from DVC or my guide and other times nothing, like today, I haven’t gotten anything even though my guide knows I’m interested in Poly. Then again, people are saying this was sent from the marketing teams, not sales so idgi at all 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is it in the spam filter? Once I accidentally marked a passholder email as spam, and then after that they all went to the spam filter and I missed the passholder preview sign up for Ratatouille.

I thought this too, but nope. I did get 2 emails on Tuesday regarding the Cabins and a giveaway so I know I’m on some kind of list lol

My goodness this is so exciting and also kind of scary to think of how everyone and their mother will want to visit/eat/play in and around the Poly. It's going to be so busy. They HAVE to implement wristbands for the pools no way they can allow outside guests to bring 12 family members to splash around near Moana. And the restaurant...ooof the difficulty of getting an ADR there will make a Space 220 lounge res seem like getting into a quick service cafeteria in one of the All-Stars. And the two viewing portals...I can already hear the bloggers talking about hacks how to pick the less crowded side/how to get the best seats etc.

Again this is all very exciting but I also can't wait to see how it all plays out.
