I think they be good for people staying Standard View (monorail side), atleast you’ll have a chance of seeing fireworks if they keep it exactly Tower Only.

I could see people enjoying their morning coffee there, and ending the night there with a glass of wine after the fireworks.

DVC has been using the $23,500 starting figure in correspondence since at least February 2024. Since it's not easily divisible into any of the current prices, it's probably premature to conclude Island Tower will be $235 each.

The email does NOT list a price - it says "typically priced at $23,500 to $60,100 (subject to change)"

I don't think it was an error, just a bit of lead nurturing by their marketing team. They announced a bunch of stuff via the blogs and social media today, and they wanted to email it out through the guides so they could build that relationship and see which potential buyers are 'hot leads' who follow up to learn more. Whenever they do announce start of sale, we're primed and ready, and they know who to prioritize.

It's annoying to those of us who obsessively follow the news to just hear the same thing again, but you've gotta figure that most DVC owners have little idea that there even is a new tower going up, this is the first they've heard of it, and they need a traditional marketing campaign to generate and cultivate interest.

It could very well be $235. Just saying, this isn't the first time that number appeared. It's been in every DVC email sent to members since at least February. And incentives are still unknown.

not an error. i went back in my emails and found a similar "coming soon" email about the Villas at Disneyland Hotel. It was dated March 9, 2023 and said to contact your guide to learn more. Sales for current members began May 2, 2023.

Wasted space. What are you going to do in there?

Many have early flights and arrive at Poly before checkin time. Many parents with toddlers ask about a quiet space their toddler can nap in while waiting for their room to be ready. With longhouses, people frequently suggest the longhouse areas by the elevators, where each floor has a sitting area. I don’t recommend the first floor in the longhouses, but floors 2-3 are usually good options.

At Island Tower, these spaces are perfect for the same reason.
