Interesting to see Duos in all three booking categories (at Riv there’s only one category for them because they’re all in the “Tower” part).

What’s weird… granted I only looked at a couple of dates… is there’s all three views for Duo, Studio, and 1 Bedroom, but with 2 Bedroom I only see TPV, Penthouse Preferred, and Penthouse TPV? That can’t be right can it? It’s like they haven’t or aren’t enabling lockoff 2Bs for booking?

I noticed that too. Maybe it has to do with this being cash bookings?

I don’t think those are photos of what the duo’s will look like. That picture is just a picture from the deluxe studio. Exact same photo. So may not be exactly like that.

I came here to point out the same. Frankly I find it quite odd and not a little misleading that they used those photos on the listing when they had at least one Duo Studio image ready from the blog post. Like it or not, not everyone reads printed details and I assume at least a few folks will look at the pictures, book it, and then show up and be annoyed/complain that they don't have the amenities that were shown.

The only reason they allow the DVc 1 bedrooms that officially sleep 4 to do 5 was because the studios were later turned into allowing 5.

These are meant to only sleep 4 and given the resort has studios with 5 already…the longhouse ones…there is no reason to allow it.

Agree the photo choice is odd… but duo’s having kitchenettes and a range of views makes them quite attractive, especially in comparison to the Tower Studios at RR.

Could this be a mistake photo placement and it’s for the penthouse and that’s actually a sauna/spa thing they have in the GVs at VGF?

So it’s looking like you can only book 11 months out. I could make a reservation for May 4 and book a month but when I tried to change my check-in date to May 5, nothing available….

People reported MS could book through October 2025 if you call.

Riviera 1 bedrooms are 10 sf bigger than BLTs per https://www.dvcfieldguide.com/blog/disney-vacation-club-1-bedrooms

…sort of. The largest BLT rooms - the ones on the outside of the C - are 10 sqft smaller than Riviera’s. The ones on the inside of the C are smaller.

Well, I missed whatever drama happened on Wednesday but at least catching up took long enough for me to see this post so I could peruse the photos on Disney’s website…I can’t believe how many people were complaining about neutral colors for the past 48 hours…the studios look thematically cohesive with the original studios, while blending in more elements of authentic Polynesian design.

The images definitely look bolder and richer than the video did. I think this is what it will look like a bit more in person. That’s kind of how BWV photos v. reality were like and why many liked the rooms a bit more after actually staying in them since the colors felt stronger (go figure that actually experiencing something in person is better than seeing it in 2D on the internet ) I think all the textured elements in the tower will really shine in person.

They even threw in some playful mid century modern elements (like the playful mirrors in the bathrooms).

Those aren’t mid century modern! Those represent islands!

Ahh no disappointment that makes sense! I’m not one for a sauna anyway so it wouldn’t have done much for me. I should probably rewatch the video before I make assumptions on things; I was bleary eyed the first, and only, watch the other morning lol

It’s so misleading that based on the photo used, the duo would also have a dishwasher.
