Agreed. Text should be updated.
It’s so misleading that based on the photo used, the duo would also have a dishwasher.
But is this part of Disney’s green initiative? Studios traditionally did not have dishwashers until this tower. Based on what Disney has posted, looks like the duo studios will have a full kitchenette like the deluxe studios minus the queen bed.

So, I’m looking at the description of the penthouses on the official Disney website. Are the only things that differentiate them from a normal 2 Br is the “extra large deck,” a more spacious common area, and accommodating 1 less person?

For cash bookings, I'm not seeing 2BR Standard or Preferred categories for any dates? Only Theme Park View??

Bungalows interiors are very much similar to a normal 2BR, the differences being location and the patio with the (cold) tub and view. I guess same deal here: the wow factor will be the large deck and stunning view over the lake. I think such a room makes sense only with a TP view.

Is there only one penthouse on each side? Based on the extra large deck, wouldn't that be the second floor from the top?
Doesn't the one above have a normal balcony?

I will be happy if the duo does include the full kitchenette (and the dishwasher). Having stayed at the tower studio at RIV and duo studio at VDH as a solo traveler, I dislike the lack of a separate sink outside the bathroom since I use a Britta water pitcher (one kept in my OL and I bring one for DLR and AUL) which doesn’t fit in the bathroom sink.

We love the bungalows and they actually feel smaller than a usual 2 bedroom but maybe that’s just the shape of them. We love the plunge pool which is the wow factor and why we love them so much. I guess I was just expecting something spectacular in the penthouses. I really really want to see a floor plan and the point charts.

I think i read there were only 2 penthouses and yes it looks like the 2nd floor from the top to me too. I kind of assumed 1 one each side and the website shows theme park view and preferred view.

I'm freaking out a bit over here at the thought that there may not be 2BR Standard or even Preferred views. But at least on the cash side, I haven't seen those options for any date. Even if a room category is sold out (as in this screenshot) it should still be listed as unavailable, right??

Was anybody able to get pricing for a 2BR Standard or Preferred over the phone in the past few days? Or are the only 2BR options really going to be these high-cost views?

People reported MS could book through October 2025 if you call.

…sort of. The largest BLT rooms - the ones on the outside of the C - are 10 sqft smaller than Riviera’s. The ones on the inside of the C are smaller.
Just put me on hold but having issues finding days available in June? People on here said they booked out in October 2025? I'm trying to let Disney take my money :)

Nice timing by several divisions on all of this.
  1. November 27, Moana 2 opens in theaters.
  2. Early December DVC Condo Association meeting. If it's held at Contemporary, why not have people board the monorail and show them the tower?
  3. I think they film the Christmas day parade in late November or early December. Likely to feature the tower on Christmas day parade. Guessing they film this before tower actually opens. I would be shocked if they didn't highlight some of the artwork and how it relates to the movie. I hope they have Auli'i Carvalho and/or the Rock filmed at the tower.
  4. Several years ago, CMs got to stay in new rooms before opening. I could see this happening early December.
  5. December 17, official opening day.
  6. :santa:
  7. Christmas through New Years Day, every guest riding the monorail from MK to TTC will pass the tower.

I love your optimism, but you put more effort into finding all that information than anyone at DVC. This isn't the 90s. They don't synergize like that anymore.

They want this tower opened in Q1 of their 2025 fiscal year. That's pretty much all that matters and it's going to be close.

I’m local, so I’ll be sure and attend the condo meeting just incase there’s an opportunity for a sneak peek

Can't help but be disappointed with the deluxe studio. The photo makes it look bigger than it actually is. Seemed very small in the video, and I was hoping for (2) sinks like the original deluxe studios. I dislike the pull down bed location and the placement of the kitchenette area. For the room type, just makes everything feel small IMO.

Thankfully you always have the option of staying at the original if you want more space for the studio ( Which I assume they were thinking the same when making these )

I upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom villa. I’m surprised at how little the cash price differs compared to the typical almost doubling of DVC points to move from a studio to a one bedroom.
Yeah, I was excited to see that a 2BR TPV is only about 2.5x a Standard Studio, as my model has it more like 3.5x-3.9x. In season 3, that's the difference between ~350/week and ~500/week!

But then I remembered that cash pricing does tier differently, sometimes by quite a lot.

I guess we'll see when the point charts come out!
