I have 5 cats. They are all strange...to put it mildly lol

Well, DD had a kid's meal from Wendy's a couple of weeks ago. It came with this little stuffed alligator. Our cat, Rascal, has become this things mother! He carries it everywhere he goes. He plays with it. Her even sleeps with it!! He gets WAY overprotective when the other cats come near it. LOL and now the other cats are getting jealous that they don't have a alligator too.

LOL I must be really tired. Can a mod move this to the Community Board? Thanks!!

Well... all 3 of my dogs are weird.

Sebastian - 5 yo border collie mix - we do not have sheep so he herds the other dogs from one side to the other in our backyard, he snores (loudly), and burrows himself in blankets like a pig. :o

Winston - 4 yo shep mix - must have a depth perception problem because he always misjudges himself and constantly runs into walls, furniture... whatever is around

Kramer - 7 yo collie - the name says it all :p

That is really funny about your cat Rascal, just like a little child (wonder if they put that little alligator in with the chicken bag??)

And poor little Winston, he must have a lot of headaches!!

We just have 2 cats, Tasha who is too smart for her own good and Patches who is quite the opposite, she just has no memory and is so clueless. Tasha loves to bug Patches (and Tasha is smaller but has been "my" cat for a long time, Patches showed up on our back porch about 6 yrs ago and we took her in). They hate each other, "cat fights" (2 girls:))...but I often wonder how they really get along when we're not here:p

DH and I were just this morning discussing how weird our dogs are!

We have 2 dogs-a chihuahua/terrier mix (Gizmo) and a purebred chihuahua (Gidget). Gizmo is almost 9 yrs old and all dog, whereas Gidget is 5 yrs old with the personality of a person. We got her when she was 6 weeks old and she is spoiled rotten, but she's so much fun!

Like Pooh Girls' cat, she has a 'child', but it's not a stuffed/soft toy. She is attached seriously to my DD's old electronic game, Merlin! We had this toy out a couple of years ago and noticed that she was always laying beside it when we came home, instead of curled up in a blanket as usual. The affection only grew! We saw her licking Merlin, as if to clean it, and she began growling and snarling at us if we got too close to it! If you remember Merlin, it talks to you when turned on; this was all the more confirmation for Gidget that her 'son' was speaking!

Merlin eventually got shifted to the basement with the other unused toys and all was forgotten til just recently. DS brought it out to play with and it was as if Gidget had been reunited with a long-lost child. For the last several weeks, she has slept with "him" on the couch, instead of in bed with us (I told you, she's spoiled!); we even put 'him' in bed with us to get her back! She pushes and pulls at the blankets to cover 'him' up, and no one is allowed to mess with him. She stays with 'him' almost all of the time, and is still snarling at us for getting too close. When we turn 'him' on to talk, she cocks her head and looks, then warns us to stay away.

DH says that this is a result of having her spayed after Gizmo 'took liberties' and we knew that she couldn't deliver pups because she's so tiny (and Gizmo isn't). I think it's just natural maternal instincts...whatever, it's cute as can be and very entertainind!

We have bearded colies which are known as the crown princes of comedy for the dog world. Beardies are smart and can pull some great tricks or stunts.

Right now one of our beardies is pregnant and is definitely wierd.

One of our cats (Oreo) has recently started sitting against the wall with all 4 paws in front of him like he's in a recliner. Looks weird but I haven't captured a pic yet.

Our dog Riley (cocker spaniel) stole a little girls pacifier when she was here with her sister to swim with my DD. Well when my DD was little he always "stole" hers. Now he carries it around in his mouth but doesn't chew on it, he took it last August and still has it!!!

My new puppy is very sensitive when scolded - he'll go sit by the back door and put his face in the corner. LOL

We use dto have a miniature schnauzer named Peppy. My mother bought her a little rubber squeaky dog for a toy. She thought it was her own puppy and thought it was dead. She would cry and cry over it, then when she went outside, she would bury it, then stand over it and whimper. My mom had to throw it away.

One of our cats, Sebastian, is completely weird . . .actually we think he has ADD (if that's possible)

He's always wired . . .runs around like a nut . . .does hurdles over the dog . . .he keeps us totally hysterical . . .

If I had a pet I'm sure it would be weird - since DH and I both are.

My dog is either weird or our house is haunted. When we go downstairs to the family room she will bring one of her frisbees and she walks over to the sofa and lays the frisbee on the cushion, backs up, wags her tail and barks at nothing and no one who is apparently on the sofa. Then she will nudge the frisbee further onto the cushion, back up, wag her tail more and bark again. She does this over and over. It's almost as if she can see someone on the sofa and wants him/her/it to throw the frisbee for her.

Very weird. She's a loveable dog though. We got her from the SPCA 12 years ago, she is 1/2 golden retriever and 1/2 German shepherd.

My cat Fonzy love's them I think that's weird.:)

My Lab is just tons and tons of great, cute fun, but he's not weird. :)

One of my cats is though.

He is a "drama king". He's awful. He walks around having temper tantrums. He's not mad, he's not in pain, he just loves the attention he gets with his drama. His meow sounds just like a child having a temper tantrum. It goes from low to LOUD to low, lower, LOUD, LOUD, low. He throws himself down on his side and yowls. When he isn't getting any attention he gets louder and louder until finally he gets yelled at, then he takes off running. He yodels to, with this pitiful, mornful meow. He even gets on the nerves of the other cats too. :p

He likes green olives too! He doesn't eat them, he just bats them around and rolls on them? :p

My 2 cats(actually kitties) Cordeila and Doyle actually get along

Our cat Astrid wil stare for hours into the electric socket in our bedroom. She sits for hours just staring at it and she will not be distracted - like she's waiting for a little green man to pop out, very strange. Then for no apparent reason she will snap out of it and run and jump around and off of things and bounce - I think she takes after my husbands side of the family.

Our dog loves to watch Animal Planet on tv. She'll sit in front and follow the animals on the screen. She leaves when commercials come on. She even know commercials with dogs in them by the music and will come to watch.

I guess you could call our cat, Chicklit (short for Chicken Little) weird. When she was about 6 mos old DS dropped a plastic soda bottle cap on the floor. Chicklit ran over picked it up and brought it back to DH. DH threw it across the room and she fetched it again. She is now 2.5 years old and whenever anyone opens a bottle of soda she wants to play fetch! I told DH we should get her on video and send it to AFV! Maybe she can win us $10K!! Annmarie

Weird animals? My persian male cat thinks he's one of the dogs. He sleeps on his back with his legs all stretched out, he hangs out with our labs (never our other cat) rubbing up against them and he begs with them too. My dh says he's never seen an animal love a human as much as my cat loves me. I just say he's grateful because we took him in.

My cat loves drinking straws- he will actually take it out of the cup if you're not careful. He plays fetch with them -if you throw them he brings them back and drops them right by your feet. He also likes suction cups. He will fetch these as well. He used to be obsessed with my daughter's Barbie dolls, and would drag them around by their hair. He is very protective of me, especially when I'm sick. He will lay on my legs and hiss or growl if anyone gets too close to me. So, yes, I think my pet is weird-that's what I get for naming him after a ( former) Yankees player:rolleyes:
