If I clean my 2 yo DS's nose, he chases me through the house yelling, "Want my bogers back". And yes, if he gets the Kleenex, he tries to shove it up his nose. If I blow my nose, he yells, "Want Mommy's bogers." And again, he will try to get the tissue out of my hands. And finally, he will try go through the diaper pail to get a dirty diaper to put back on. I had to run out of the house once with the diaper pail because he would not leave the dirty diaper alone. It has been two weeks now, and he will wake up crying, "I want my diaper back." PLEASE tell me he will out grow this. YUCK!!

Okay, he will grow out of it.

But I don't have any advice, I never had this problem.

HUGS to you!!! Not that I know everything, but I am sure he will grow out of this. I would take pics of him or record it if you have a video camera...print your post out...and threaten to show it to friends when he gets older.

I will trade you your boogers for my whining...any takers? ;)

I'm guessing he's not potty-trained yet? He may be one of those kids we read about that's terrified watching the toilet flush because "part of him" is disappearing.

This too shall pass. Little kids, little problems; big kids, big problems. Maybe the little problems are necessary so we can learn to handle the big ones. ;)

Sounds like you're havin' loads of fun!!! ;)
No advice for you, but you have my sympathies...:D

I never had this problem but think about it, he is a boy and boy, guys, men do crazy things. Chock it up to testosterone levels. LOL :D

It will pass..........I promise.
I never had that specific gross problem but I had other disgusting ones with my boys.
The girl never was too disgusting but boys never really outgrow being disgusting...do they?:p
Just know someday you'll look back and laugh about this & tease him about it! You can threaten to share it with his first girlfriend! ;) :p
Thanks for making me laugh today.......the picture in my head of Mommy running from Junior with the diaper pail is too funny!!

My 2 year old doesn't do this, but he does have to say "bye bye" to his boogers after I clean his nose. We throw it in the trash or flush them and he always wants to say goodbye. I guess that's not gross, just a little weird ;) or cute - whichever way you want to look at it. :D

Well.....this is a new one for me. I didn't have to deal with this with my son. He'll grow out of it eventually. {{{HUGS}}} sweetie.

I was thinking the same thing as Brermom.
Lucky for me none of mine did that. My son has done other gross things from time to time.

Does he cry when he gets his hair cut too? At that age some kids think that anything that is attached to them should STAY that way. ;)

He'll outgrow it, don't worry! :)

Never happened with my kids, but the little boy next door insists upon saving his nail clippings. He will not allow his mother to throw them out.

Gee to think my DD's habit of a messy room was a problem!!!
