Is your body temp. below 98?

Doctors tend to dismiss the low temps. I HIGHLY recommend those with low temps to have your thyroid checked out. My Doctor said my TSH was a little high but not to worry. I didnt' for a few years until I did research on the Internet. I now am on Levoxyl and feeling better in so many ways. You really have to take charge with some doctors on thyroid issues. They tend to under treat. Know your TSH number.

my temp usually stays aroud 97 degrees....and my hands and feet are constantly cold. my doctor's have always told me this was normal, too

My kids and I are usually lower than 98. (usually in the low 97s).

The only difference is...our fevers start at 99 and not 100.

It is important to note that a 98.6 Human body temp is a normal average. But it is an average.

Adult DD and I always run on the "low" side.. We've been told the same thing - in the 97 range is perfectly safe..

Mine is usually REALLY low... somewhere around 96. I too am often cold when others are warm (I LOVE an 88 degree day and feel rather comfortable), and I also feel extremely feverish when my temp is 99 or so.

My doctor has also told me not to worry about it.

Actually, that's the opposite of what I feel. My body temp is 97.2 and I'm comfortable when others are cold. I'm hot when others are comfortable.

And if your body temp is higher, you can tolerate the heat better.

I'm the girl in the winter using one sheet at night and still feeling too hot!

Me too! I can feel HORRIBLE with a 99 temp. The doctors just dismiss it, though, saying I don't have a fever! Even my own husband/doctor does this! Grrrr!

I run about 96.4-7 on average.. the last week I've been 99.4 and my DH is like "so a little fever then, not too bad"
grrrr...!
