It is very tempting for an hour or two. Poor kitty spent 90% of the day laying on the kitchen table, infront of the sliding door, under the ceiling fan. The tempt. in here reads over 81'. I even just put the two hamster cages down in DD's bedroom since she is gone for the night and where its nice and cool. Maybe thats where I should sleep too.

Air... what is this air of which you speak????

The ceiling fans are on maximum overdrive!!!!

::yes:: Yes, I put ours on when I got up this morning....set it at 80º so it didn't really work all that hard. It's not the heat....it's the humidity. When I hear "humidex of 41º" I kind of freak out. I will likely bring it down for sleeping, and then up it again in the morning. One good thing, though. Both girls were in the pool today! :thumbsup2

Not as yet, but very tempting. The fans are on full blast though. My 4 month old is not sleeping yet, might be the heat bothering her.

Yep::yes::
I put it on yesterday afternoon. We were awaiting thunderstorms all afternoon and it was really really muggy.
I kept trying to hold off .. but then my mother came over and said "Geez.. your like a little old lady.. it's boiling in here.. turn on the air for heavens sake.":lmao:
And basically when your mom is calling you out for being old and penny pinching it's time to turn it on.:rotfl:

I just wasn't ready.. three days ago I sent the kids to school in sweaters and warm pants.. and now it's time for the air conditioning.
Sigh.

Definitely need it here in Cambridge, very muggy, house was 82 before i sparked up the central air for the first time yesterday. The thick muggy air made me wish i had a Dole Whip

Mother Nature has the AC on out here in the Rockies...it's 9C and rainy!!

So, we don't have the AC on, but we have a fire on in the family room!! At least it's not snowing...:woohoo:

Enjoy the summer weather out east, everyone...

Christiane.

It has rained here so much that the last time we had the air on was May long weekend. Now it is so muggy I want to run the air but apparently it won't run if it is cooler than 15c. It is very chilly and muggy here.

On May 24th we were at the Buffalo airport with jeans and hoodies on, on our way 'home' to WDW - yesterday we came back to the Buffalo airport at 11 pm and just needed our same shorts and t-shirts we had on at OKW that morning - and my house has no air:confused3 I should go back 'home' to WDW where there is air!:rotfl:

We surrendered today, lol!! Only because of my 4 month old (yeah right!)

Since Friday morning the AC unit has been active.

The Hamettes in the house don't take to well to heat/humidity unless we're at WDW in August.

Oh yeah - ours went on Friday b/c I was cleaning and it got so hot and humid in here. My asthma just can't take it so that's my excuse!!
We don't keep it super cold in here though - 23.5 to 24 is about what we keep it at! Just enough to keep the humidity away!

It is hot here in hanover ontario but it is to hot to stick the air conditioners in the windows.

have had the air on since Friday. Set at 23c. Just enough to take the humidity away. I find it funny that I cannot stand the humidity here but I have no problem for 10 days at WDW every year the end of August:rotfl: :rotfl: Must be the free dining:thumbsup2

Yes, siree, Bob!! Put it on for the first time yesterday. Cannot stand the humidity.:(

Ours is ON! Turned it on Friday afternoon - it's set at 24.5 during the day and 23 at night. We're home during the day but finding that if it's a little warm we're comfortable but we really need it a little cooler at night.

ours was on since friday night. too humid! it's set at 22. tempers are directly proportional to temperature so let's keep it cool ::yes::

and now i just heard from citytv that the gta is under a tornado warning. great.
