Is YC worth the extra $200 over WL?

YC all the way! It's gorgeous, and you really can't beat the ease of walking out your door and directly into Epcot or being just a few more minutes from HS!!

i'm so happy to read this thread, I'm also doing a "Me and DH only" trip and we're doing 4 nights at the YC and also plan to spend most our time at EP with 1/2 day at MK and 1/2 day at HS. I've never been to any of the Epcot resorts so I'm super excited to check them all out, but when trying to decide which resort, I have to admit the YC sounded like THE perfect resort for this trip.

This! But I would swap the slush for a cucumber margarita from La Cava del Tequila!!

Cucumber margarita?? How have I not found this before? That will be on my to-do list for Oct.

But, seriously, I agree with previous posters about the YC location. While I love WL, the EPCOT area is worth the extra $200.

The cucumber margarita is awesome! Whatever is in the edge of the glass makes it over the top delish (it's not salt...if I remember correctly its some kind of chili-lime seasoning?) My DH loves the jalepeno margarita which he asks the bartender to spice it up even more with some habanero! We just spent a weekend in WDW, just the two of us, and we tried quite a few different flavors here, but for me cucumber is the big winner. I wish I had one right now!!!!

The Sunken Treasure is a great cocktail that you can have from Hurricane Hannah's if you find the right bartender - that alone is reason enough to switch to YC!!!!

We just got back from our first trip staying Deluxe and we chose the Beach Club mainly because of location. For me yes that $200 is well worth the location and for a DH and me only I think even more so as we'd spend more time on the Boardwalk at night and head over to Jellyrolls.

If you are talking about $200 total price difference than the Boardwalk area is definitely worth it. Proximity to two parks and evening activities right out your front door are really great.

Location location location...and convenience. I ADORE Wilderness Lodge but the location of YC, it's proximity to two parks and the Boardwalk AND Stormalong Bay. A $200 increase is a steal for what you are getting! Definitely do it!!

My hubs and I will be at Beach Club in November and I am so excited!!!!!
