Is WL much more popular?

That is not true. They are larger than moderate resort rooms.

The WL rooms are the same size as the CBR rooms. The WL rooms feel even smaller because of the queen beds in them.

Can someone who's stayed here tell me if the boating and fishing is expensive?
Also, can I fish from shore with my boys who love it, or can we only rent a guide for a couple of hours.

The boating fees aren't bad ( they are calculated by size of boat and amount of time you have it out ). We haven't done the fishing trips, but as I recall when we checked into it once, you had to rent the boat and the driver. It was fairly expensive, maybe $200 or so? I don't really remember, since we decided not to do the fishing trip.

I don't think you can fish from the shore, at least I never saw anyone doing it that way.

Why does everyone say one positive of the WL is the location when I have read several times about the terrible bus service and how long it takes to get anywhere.
I am booked to stay at the WL in June, but the thread on bad bus service scares me.
We loved the direct service at AKL and POP. POP is much cheaper and AKL was awesome, so why would I stay at WL if it so hard to get anywhere.

We are DVC members and our home is VWL. We have personally never had terrible bus service. Buses always ran just fine and the boats to MK and CR were a relaxing change from time to time. Some people have no patience and sometimes tend to make things a little more dramatic than they might have really been. Don't be scared and worry in advance or you may look too hard and find something that bothers you. Expect to have a little travel time wait and enjoy your trip!

EXACTLY!!! Don't get me wrong....I like the WL but I like the moderates more. I honestly see the WL as a more expensive moderate resort. The Poly, Contemporary and GF....now THOSE are deluxe!!!

I like the CBR better then the WL when it comes to transportation. I love the lobby at the WL and the grounds. I just don't consider it a deluxe resort by any means. The Poly is my favorite.

I think a lot of people stay there because it's the least expensive deluxe, and it's that or a moderate in their budget.

We stayed there, it was nice, but quite far from ever being my favorite WDW resort.
