Is Wild Africa Trek worth it?

Just curious if you guys that have done the Wild Africa Trek thought it was with the price. My wife is wanting to do it with my daughter and its a little over $400 with tax for the both of them. What are your opinions...Should she do it or not?

Worth every cent. My husband and I did the trek last March. It exceeded our expectations and we were so very sorry we didn't take our teenage son. Everything about it was perfect. Don't hesitate booking it.

Honestly, its probably an individual thing whether its 'worth it for the money' or not.

Dh and I did the tour and can honestly say we loved it. From beginning to end it was a wonderful experience. We are going to do it again this year!
The one thing I will say could cause it to NOT be worth it is heat. I can't imagine doing the tour in late Aug/Sep after 11 am. It is a bit of walking and then the rope bridge, lunch and a safari that makes several stops. We went in Dec. Perfect weather the day we went, but I can see where weather is a big factor on whether it would be worth it to me!

We'll be going in March. I already booked the event for March 18th at 11:45 am. I just trying to justify the price since I can cancel with no penalty if we want.

I know I am in the minority, but we went in Feb. 2010 right after it started and we paid $300 for 2 people and got free photo pass with it (which they no longer do). I was very disappointed for the cost. Yes we did go close to the hippos for 5 minutes, walked over the crocodiles, walked thru the woods, then got in the jeep that went on the same trail as the Kilimanjaro safari (we might have seen the animals closer up than the AK ride but I dont think so), We went to the Boma in the middle of the Savannah and had lunch (very small portions, but good), there were no animals near the Boma you had to use binoculars. If you have extra spending money and dont mind the cost I would go otherwise I wouldnt spend the money.

I agree.

It's worth it at a discounted rate, but at full price . . . man, it's really stretching it for me to say that it's worth it.

I had fun, and got some really great pictures, but I wouldn't do it over again at that price, and had I known what it would be like, I wouldn't have done it the first time.

I'm leaning towards canceling the event I believe...$400 just seems a little steep for two people.
