Just wanted some feedback on WebSlingers. I watched a video ride through and didn't really think that much of it. I love Toy Story and Buzz but I felt that this ride didn't really give you the same sense of achievement that those two do. Am I right in saying this or am I missing something. I will be travelling with my adult daughter who is a huge Spiderman fan and we are staying for 8 days (travelling from Australia) and I am not sure how many times we might want to ride this and is it worth rope dropping or paying for an ILL. Any thoughts would be great.

I think it's way more fun that TS and Buzz because it's much more interactive. I'd never wait longer than 30 minutes to get on TS and Buzz needs to be a walk on for me to go on it, but I'd wait a decent time to go on WS

Personally, I love WS. For whatever reason it seems to get lackluster reviews, especially when it first opened.

There are definitely challenging aspects to it and ways to score higher vs lower- look for "special" spiders and aim for those etc. I enjoy TSMM a lot, Buzz not so much but mostly because I'm just not very good at it, no matter how hard I try and even knowing the tricks for which shapes to aim for etc. so I keep trying anyway. WS is probably my favorite of the three. It can be tiring on the arms though- I have been in cars where people 'gave up' because their arms were tired. There is also a bit of finesse to figuring out just how much arm movement is needed (too much and too little both don't work well) but it's not that hard to pick up.

We really love WebSlingers. Didn't think I would enjoy it so much because I've never seen a Marvel movie (well, I guess until the most recent Spiderman movie), but it is great.

It is fun ... but I prefer TSMM. For me, it is worth a ~45-minute queue given that we have APs and visit monthly.

I’m completely underwhelmed by it. It’s not horrible, just it not as fantastic as other interactive rides out there IMHO. I’m also not a person that wants to reride to get my score up. I find I’m too focused on that aspect vs enjoying what going on, on the screen. If I’m with a group that wants to go on it, I will…otherwise I’m happy go on other personal favs.

I am also a huge fan of Spider-Man and a Magic Key holder. I went on it once on opening day and only went on it again because friends and family have never been.

I would never pay for LL access, and would rather Rope Drop or purchase LL for Racers than Web Slingers.
Toy Story Midway Mania and Astroblasters are much better in my opinion.

I can easily ride the Universal Orlando Spider-Man ride over and over again, Would only do Web Slingers if it was at 15 or less minute wait.

I wonder if some of the negative reviews have to do with the team aspect of the ride. Buzz and TSMM are completely individual and your score is not tied to others in the car. On WS, although you do get an individual score, your overall score is combined for the 4 riders. Additionally, you do actually need others to "help" with some of the battles to be successful.

Its cool but just "Meh" for me...I prefer Buzz.

There is a LOT going on and I often exit the ride with people that feel like a failure with no real desire to return cuz it was more then they could get even mildly proficient at in the few seconds you have to try and figure it all out.

I have not read any details as I wanted to be surprised, but is it similar to Buzz and TSMM? I just don’t really enjoy those types of rides. I am not into video games at all and those just make me feel like I am at Main Event or Dave and Busters. I am kind of bummed now as I thought it was an action ride. I guess it’s a good thing I lower my expectations for when I ride it in 3 weeks! Lol

I purposefully have skipped any detail of Web, ROTR and MF since I haven’t been to DLR since those rides opened. Now I feel like I need to know more about them so I am not disappointed. Lol. I really hope there not all like Buzz?

Legoland has a similar Ninjago ride in concept. I actually like the Ninjago ride more, even though I love spiderman character way more.

Ive only gone once though on spiderman, maybe it will get better.

None of them are like buzz.

Rotr is not interactive.
Millennium falcon is similar to star tours, but with interactive buttons to press.
Webslingers is closer to toy story midway mania.

I know it gets a lot of flack, but I love it. I do MUCH better at it than I do Buzz and Toy Story (probably because I don't have to hold anything), and also I'm a big Spider-man fan. The wait is definitely very long, but I'm sure it will taper off eventually, when it becomes less shiny and new. (Though probably never as short as Buzz gets sometimes because of the boarding process.)

It's a cool idea but we were very 'meh' about the ride when we did it (twice) in November. I certainly won't be lining up again for it. If it had a short line I'd jump in but I'm not waiting 1hr+ for it again. I much prefer TSMM.
