My very first trip to the Kingdom was in july of 2004. All we could afford was one day at mk. I was smaller then, now i'm a lil older and have a decent job. Last july I took ly lil brother to the world and we loved it, we got to do all the main parks. Went hom and seemed to "Miss" the Magic Kingdom...... Sure enough I was back within 3 weeks.
I slowed down for a bit and found out about MNSSHP and was thrilled about it. Disney+Halloween?= perfect! I took my girlfriend to The World for her first trip in early october. She loved it and also seemed to feel this conection to the Kingdom. Expectedly I was there for just for MVMCP and again was at awe. I hope to get to know some great people here and share some stories. BTW i have always stayed off site. Things are about to change for me. I know the deluxe resorts are mind blowing but they come with theyre price. I have always belived the the hotel room is just for storage, rest, sleep.... The rest of the day is at the parks. I have decided my next trip I will stay at the POP Century. Ive read good reviews about it so I cant wait!
I'll be there starting on the 24th of jan.....
BTW is it just me that feels this way about this place?

thanks! look forward to being here.:cool1:

I tell people that don't understand my "Disney obsession" that everyone is prone to an addiction, and I got lucky because mine is WDW!

And yes, you will love Pop Century - we've stayed there twice and have booked a third there in April...:thumbsup2

Is it addicting? Well, look at all of us on here :lmao: Imagine the poor people that haven't found the DIS ;)

I don't know many people that understand the obsession (other than other DISer's). I can't think of a better vice to have!:goodvibes

I think it's a genetic thing. It's in all of us somewhere.... glad you found your Disney gene!

I would say that it definately is...my hubby and I just got back from our belated honeymoon and it was our first time at the world. We stayed at POP. Well not only am i addicted but so is DH. We were planning on taking an Alaskan cruise, because DH has always wanted to do that one, once I am done with school but after WDW my DH said to cancel the plans for the Alaskan cruise because he wants a DISNEY CRUISE and some more days in the parks....that is not what I expected at all.

Definitely addicting. . .I am a 100% bonafide Disney addict myself! :wave2:

It's the best addiction I've ever had! DH blames me for passing it to him and our DD's!!:rotfl:

wow, thanks for the replies! Good to see i'm not the only one. BTW a quik question?????

what does DH and DD stand for? Ive seen it used several times on the forums and other variatons of it?

DH: dear husband/disney husband
DD: dear daughter/disney daughter

I think it's more addicting that contagious. Others around us dont' understand, so it must not be contagious... but we tried it once, and every night my 10 year old tells me "Mom, I miss Disney World"... so, it's addicting.

thankyou! To me, the biggest connection I have is to MK! something about that place....mmmmm the main street bakery! mmmm all you can eat crystal palace!

Completely agree. We said we weren't going this year and the next thing I knew, we had booked a 4 day trip in Feb. I went to DW for the first time in 2005 and now I'm totally hooked. Luckily my DH and DD9 are willing to go with me!!

Waaaay back in the day (when only MK existed) we were in FL on vacation and went to WDW for one day. It seemed to be in such a remote area! :lmao: Several years later our neighbors started to going to WDW and then again, and again. We didn't get it. We couldn't figure out why on earth anyone would keep going back to THAT place! I mean, why would you go all the way to FL (from NJ) for an amusement park when there were so many others much closer. Well....fast forward to late 80's. DH had a business trip in central FL and I tagged along. We knew that WDW had grown since that first trip so decided to see what all the hoolah was about. Whoa! We had a BALL! We absolutely fell in love with Epcot!! Those first years were always offsite (we still didn't get the staying on-site part). Now, I feel like there is something missing if I'm not planning a trip to WDW! And, not only is WDW addicting, but so is the DIS! Welcome to the club, mouseketeer! :dance3:

Hi my name is Kim and I am a Disneyholic. DH took me to DW on our 2nd anniversary we went back 2 more times before DD was born and since she was born we have been 18 more times, I think. I have appartently passed this along to DD because she has forced her uncle to go this spring, my mom help foot the bill and go (he is a single dad of 4), she has to go because she wants to be there when they see it, and I have to go for experience reason. I don't know how she pulled this off put she did. My kitchen is disney, my bath is disney, half of my Christmas decor is disney, antenna toppers disney that I change out once a month or seasonly, I have two dogs that are named Tinkerbell and Minnie, my room at school (I teach Pre-K at church) is disney, and I spend every dime we have on going to disney. I could go on but I think you see.
