Is WDW contagious???

...BTW i have always stayed off site. Things are about to change for me. I know the deluxe resorts are mind blowing but they come with theyre price. I have always belived the the hotel room is just for storage, rest, sleep.... The rest of the day is at the parks. I have decided my next trip I will stay at the POP Century. Ive read good reviews about it so I cant wait!...

Oh more than you know!!! You might only sleep there but once you are surrounded by that Disney Magic 24/7, you'll never have it any other way!

:thumbsup2

It is very addicting! I had never been to Disney World growing up and when my hubby and I started dating I went with his whole family (they're Disney people). When I walked on to Main Street, I knew it was something special - I still get that feeling everytime!! I know that I have been as many times as most of the people here but I am going to try and take my kids every chance we get!!

I cannot imagine going to Disney and not being addicted. My kids are constantly asking mom when we go back can we do that or this lol. DD has even made her way to this board. Poor DH thought Disney was a personal problem of mine before we went in November and did not even want to go really when it came down to it. Now he is talking about if we won the lottery we would be there at least once a month! :rotfl:

Ditto to what the previous approx. 25 posters have said. It is VERY addicting. And a wonderful addiction it is! You just either get it or you don't. We've got it...and bad. When people listen to us talk about past and future trips- about the beautiful costumes in the shows and the wonderful performers, the smell of Main Street Bakery, the chills that go along with watching Wishes or Spectro, the thrill of Soarin' and Test Track, and the anticipation of riding Everest...I could go on and on. They just smile on the outside and enjoy our goofy giddiness for a few minutes and probably roll their eyes at us as we leave. But we don't care. Welcome to the Dis addiction. I think you'll like it here!

Hello from a fellow Texan!:wave2:

I never had any intention of going to Disney World. I grew up on Six Flags and love rollercoasters. Then as my son got older I kept saying we needed to take him to DisneyWorld. It didn't help that my best friend was sending me DW planning videos. My DH kept saying we couldn't afford it. Then, he got orders for Iraq and we decided we needed to take a week and do something as a family. My DH finally decided that we should take the boy to Disney World! Now I am totally addicted. I am not even that excited about Six Flags anymore. It is all about Disney World. It is obviously an addiction, but I also think contagious because my DH isn't addicted, but the bug has rubbed off on him because he wants to go for 10 days for our next trip.

Also, I noticed you had worked at Astroworld. We got to go there for its last season, not knowing it would be the last time we would ever have a chance to go. We really enjoyed the park and were sad to see it go.

My Husband never ever wanted to go to Disney until that was I persuaded him in 2002 to take our 2 young Daughter's, well I think he must have had a bump on the head or have been sprinkled by Tink's Fairy Dust :wizard: because like magic he became addicted :cool1: , we'll be visiting again in May for our 4th trip in 5years!!, but the magic isn't just for the children :yay:

You'll love Pop! And once you figure you aren't paying for parking and gas to and from the parks, it really isn't much more expensive than off site. And the atmosphere is really nice there too! We stayed at Pop last March and September and I am trying to talk my family into staying at Pop in OCtober when we all go. Unfortunately, the don't understand my pre-occupation with Disney and Pop.

3 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!till I go to DISNEYWORLD (again....)

Astroworld was a very special place to me. I grew up at that park and worked there for 5 years. The park was not doing as bad as media let people believe. In its last 2 years or so, we had alot of improvements, more visualy than anything else. We had nice new paint on alot of the park. Push come to shove SF closed and demolished the park saying to the media that the park was under performing(all of SF parks were), the parks attendance was down(again, they all were, plus was on par with Fiesta Texas), and saying the land was worth more than the park(maybe). He said he would get 140million for it easily for it and had a buyer already for it thats why it was demolished so fast, and in the end that land sat there for a great deal of time till it was discoverd that some firm purchased it for a coscto price of 77million!!!!! btw SF payed for demo and some rides deconstruction and removal to othere locations. AW consisted of about 108acres on a prime spot off of kirby dr and loop 610 in front of reliant stadium home of our great texans:lmao: .

getting off my soapbox now.... sorry.....

But low and behold disney is my new hobby.:cool1:

btw... dont always listen to what the media says.....
sometimes they get it wrong.

OMG ..It is very contagious.

But seriously how can it not be....its the happiest place on earth, its where dreams come true and adults get to be kids again.

I am hoping to go every year..for the rest of my life.

It is an addiction I am glad I have. :thumbsup2 It is also contagious. My DH liked our first few trips, but now he is the one asking when we are going or saying things like "I wish we were at Disney". :lmao: Therefore, he "caught" the contagious DISease and is now addicted like me :rotfl: . DS was born addicted. One of those things that is passed on at birth

I am sooooo addicted to DisneyWorld! People who have never experienced Disney just don't understand. :confused3 When I'm there with my DH and DD's, I forget about everything, and my DH and I can be kids again. The last time we were there, my DD(7) cried all the way out the park on our final day. It broke my heart.:sad1:

Contagious? Naawww! :rotfl:

Our first trip was in November and if we could have gone back for Christmas, we would have. The kids want to move to Florida and they all want to get into the college program. Even my likes-to-stay-home DH is ready to start planning our next trip and my Mom, Sis and Nephew want to get in on the next trip, too.

We love WDW!

It's very addictive!

How can it not be, when you can go there and your worries and troubles just float off of your shoulders? Every minute you're there, the outside world disappears and your only task is choosing from the wonderful smörgåsbord of delights that Disney has provided!

SO addicting! I know you are so excited! Have a great time, and come back and share all the magic with us.
