Last March my family went to WDW for a week and had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect...the weather, the parks, the food, our resort.

My wife and I always said we would try to go to WDW once when our kdis were young...but I have to admit, since we came back to Iowa..i often think about returning. I find myself checking arifare / packages about every day.

So my question...is WDW an addiction?

YES!!! Have you looked around these boards?! Obviously we all have a problem :goodvibes

Oh yeah! Just check out my siggie below to see how addicting it is!:lmao: Right now I want to go back so badly which is why I spend time on these boards. And I have DLR in my backyard basically. We went yesterday after school for about 3 1/2 hours. But being at WDW, on property, immersed in the magic is so good that I don't want to plan any other trips but WDW. Why would I spend money to go somewhere else when I could go to WDW for the same amount? :woohoo:

Without a doubt!! My husband is a smoker(addiction) so I put the same $$ in savings for my annual Disney trip(addiction). I would love for him to quit, but until he does I will use it to my advantage.
DH does not care for vacations other than the beach, so my DD's and I go go every July without him. That is the only time with sports and school that all 4 girls are free. Do I hate the heat and humidity? Yes, but I love Disney enough to sacrifice.:rotfl:

Yep. DH and I both need to go to D-A.

yep but i try to control my addiction to every 3 years... once you go and have a great time you will want it over and over

thanks for the responses...another question what does:

DH
DD

stand for? I see these letters several times..but am confused.

I fear I have an addiction. Thankfully mine particular form proved to be contagious and DH was able to catch it, although not quite as severe as mine.

DH's family goes to the beach every year. It's their vacation but is more like their down-time/family-time. That's sort of how WDW is for us. It's our easy vacation. We know where everything is, don't feel compelled to see everything - or even a majority of things since we know we'll be back - and can kick back and take it easy. With 2 small kids, we need vacations like that. Which is part of where our addiction comes from.

thanks everyone...what is sort of odd..is that my wife and I would go back this year..but the kids want to see the mountains this year instead.

isn't that odd...that the adults want to go to disneyworld..and the kids want to see other things.

...the kids win out this year :)

I think so...when we had our first trip planned in Jan '07 I started reading these boards and thought how on earth or why would I ever want to go back to WDW after going once. Well, we went again in spring '08, spring '09 and Dec '09! Twice in one year? I thought are we crazy? :lmao: But we keep it relatively cheap and go when there are deals. I just had to see at Christmas though and am so glad we were able to do that, it was simply amazing.

While planning the first trip I NEVER thought we'd go back again, and on that first night on the bus going to Downtown Disney for dinner I told my dh, let's start planning again for next year! And we hadn't even been to a park yet. It is just the most perfect place on earth! The more times we've gone the more we've been able to appreciate all the attention to detail all the parks have as we can slow down and kind of take a more leisurely pace. Everytime we walk down main street toward the castle at Magic Kingdom I get the same feelings as I did the first time we were there. We just totally love it! The kids and I are always talking about it and always saying we have to go back.

What part of Iowa are you from? My husband and I are from Iowa but have been transplanted elsewhere. :)

And, yes, it is an addiction!

It is only an addiction if you are spending money you don't have to get there over and over and over again.

If you go over and over and over again and are not shurking your bills etc. then it is a passion.

One is healthy and the other is not.
