is WALL-E in the parks?

We saw that they are making (or have made) a "life like" animatronic of Wall-E on a show on the History Channel that talked about Disney from it's beginning to today (some sort of behind the scenes type show). They first showed the dinosaur "Lucky" that you can sometimes see at Animal Kingdom. Then they showed their new project - Wall-E. We were so excited. It's one of our family's favorite movies. We were there a couple of weeks ago and never saw him. We asked CM's at AK and HS but no one knew what we were talking about.

Hopefully, Wall-E will show up soon. They need to create some sort of ride too!

Maybe someone will know something when you go. Good luck!

I don't think you will ever see this Wall-e in a "traditional" meet and greet type setting. The problem with a full motion mechanical device as complex as this at a meet and greet is that kids will want to do the same type of things that they do at a regular meet and greets and want to touch and hug him.

Wall-e is not made out of soft fur he's a trash compactor with lots of places that fingers and toes can get pinched. Even with a handler and the best control system stuff can happen.

These problems don't happen with something like Push because the only things that move are its wheels so they just have to make sure they don't run into something.

As for Lucky he/she(?) is at Walt Disney Imagineering in CA and because of maintenance issues is no longer a regular at any park.

Yep, that's the youtube I was talking about. Funny how it's labeled as disneyland, but the description says "This animatronic character built for Disney theme parks was brought into the streets of LA." And how it's NOT Disneyland. :) Silly youtube people....

Yep.

That video was not shot at Disneyland.

Sorry about the lack of WALL-E. As far as Kim Possible, you wouldn't look silly at all. Most people wouldn't even notice that you were doing it. And I think there are lots of adults who do it.

WALL-E is nowhere to be found in the parks. My theory is that the scenes in WALL-E with all of the overweight people (who can't even get up on their own) was a direct jab at the inordinate amount of "Pooh-sized" people at WDW in electric scooters. I think that might have pissed off some of the higher ups at Disney.

YOu probably want to watch the Special Features of the movie in question, at why the humans, whose bodies have evolved in low gravity over hundreds of years, look like that. Also see at least one idea that they worked on but then rejected (looked very much like B.O.B. from Monsters vs Aliens).

They aren't overweight. They are melting. Check out the scene where they show what has happened to their skeletal systems.

Add to that the fact that they haven't *had to* do anything b/c the robots do it all, and you end up with people who have never really learned to walk and whose bodies are degrading b/c of the artificial gravity.

Harumph, I just don't like when people think the movie is making fun of fat people, when it was all VERY well thought out about what would happen to humans over centuries of low gravity!

You are partially correct...but the images of the "overweight" humans in their chairs drinking super-sized drinks suggests that they have become overweight through a combination of lack of exercise and over-consumption.
