I made ressies several months ago for my daughter (she hasn't been to WDW in 10 years), starting this Sunday, Jan. 6 at BCV for 4 nights, then moving to Saratoga for 2 nights because BCV wasn't available. I've had a waitlist for BCV for those last 2 nights since the beginning, but being Marathon Weekend it hasn't came through. This week I've been calling daily to check, my question is, is it possible to get the last 2 nights changed this close to the arrival date, or even after arrival? Is it possible for her to ask on arrival if there are rooms available the last 2 nights, or would I (being the DVC member) have to do that? I know chances are almost nill for BCV to become available, but miracles/Pixie Dust happens.
She will have a wonderful time regardless, but I would love for her to be able to stay at BCV the entire time. Thanks for any suggestions or input.

We've had a waitlist come in a week before and were not notified via email, but like you, were calling daily. Incidentally, it was for BCV at Thanksgiving time last year & the prevailing wisdom is that is a tough time to be able to get an Epcot resort, but got it we did & a super room, to boot! :thumbsup2

It doesn't look rosy, but folks do cancel at the last minute, so I would just keep calling and several times a day at that, right up until check in.

Good luck!

Jean

Thanks for the heads up, I will keep calling. Thanks for reminding me that pixie dust does happen.

Once we were staying at SSR. We were supposed to check out on Sat morning and head to Gulf Shores, AL before heading home. Unfortunately, while we were at WDW, a nice little tropical storm decided to change course and head right for Gulf Shores. So the day before we were supposed to leave, we contacted MS to see if we might be able to stay at WDW instead of heading home in the storm. They said to check with the front desk in the AM and see if anything was available. Fortunately for us, BCV was available for the next three days. It worked for us.

You could continue to check after the trip starts and see if you might get lucky with BCV.

Thanks, I willl continue checking. Since I am the member, I am assuming that my daughter won't be able to check when she arrives, but will need me to do it. :thumbsup2
