If someone said to me you have only 3 hours, pick where you want to spend it, My choice would be Curious George at Universal. Like a guy said to me last week "This is the most fun I have had all Vacation, why didn't we find it earlier?"
I just wish they would upgrade the water canons, I cant reach enough innocent bystanders with them
I am glad there is another 'adult' who enjoys this too! I was soaked through when we went, but it was so welcome in the heat. My hubbie came in for the first time, walking into our trap. The oldest likes to prime up a pump on the lower right floor then let it go, sending several fountains of gushing water up from the floor. It was so funny. When we came out, saw all the boring adults sweltering in the sun waiting for the kids.
So in August if I see another adult playing around in there, in could be you.
Back on topic, I cannot understand why anyone would miss Universal or Islands out. We love these parks. Disney parks are great too but the Universal ones are excellent too.
When we first visited when our sons were 7 and 5, we automatically included Universal and Sea World with the Disney parks (Islands wasn't open then). It was a trip of a life time and we wanted to make sure we did everything we could do in that visit. We didn't know if we would ever be back again so it made sense to do anything we wanted to do, we also did Cypress Gardens, Kennedy Space Centre and Gatorland. We all thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.
We enjoyed it that much we wanted to go back and, fortunately, were able to. We still do all the parks because we love doing them. As long as you get to the parks early there are no problems with lines. We enjoy doing 14 days of parks, starting as soon as we get to the hotel. As we have been a few times now we can pick and choose what we want to do at each park. When we first went we did everything in each park (as we didn't know if we would be back).
I would say, please go to Universal/Islands, they are not to be missed. Spiderman is the most state of the art ride in the world and to miss it would be a great shame. As I said my kids were only 7 and 5 when we first took them to Universal and they both enjoyed it. Barring the 7 year old didn't like Jaws too much. He made sure he was sat in the centre of the boat with parents, grandparents, auntie and brother surrounding him, survival of the wisest!
