Is Universal mostly for older kids?

My kids are 15, 12 and 6. My older two would like to go this up and coming WDW trip in Nov. My younger one WILL NOT EVER RIDE SPACE MOUNTAIN, TEST TRACK OR THUNDER MOUNTAIN. .........so I am not sure this park will be for him. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

We first took our kids to Universal when they were 3 & 5. They had a blast and did so many of the rides (however, they are and have always been little daredevils!) At that age we did Twister, Spiderman, Jaws, Back to the Future, you name it....anything they were big enough to ride, we rode. Well, we just got back last week, and now they are 8 & 10. We switched our Disney trip to Universal at the last minute, and let me tell ya, absolutely no regrets. We all had the best time. Don't get me wrong, I love Disney, in fact we are DVC owners, but if you ask me, USO/IOA was every bit as "magical" as Disney. We are all looking forward to going back.

We have been taking out kids since they were 5 and up. They love it. Suess landing is a great area for the smaller ones as is the woody play zone at Universal.

Nope, my 5 and 8 year olds love it and have loved it more than Disney since they were 2 and 5. There is alot for them to do there and my kids love Seuss Landing the best. There really is alot for little kids to do there.

We too love Universal just a tad bit more than Disney. My oldest 7 thinks a trip to Orlando is not complete unless he gets to ride on MIB. We have been going to Universal since he was 5 and my little ones love Seuss Landings and ET, Animal Planet, Woody Woodpecker. There is lots of stuff to do. Plus when it is off season you can do the two theme parks with no crowds easily in a day.
