Is undercovertourist.com a reliable ticket vendor?

I purchased two tix. on 1/3

10 day, hopper, no exp.

1 * Adult ($ 340.00) = 340.00
1 * Child ($ 303.00) = 303.00

It was a significant savings over the new prices. Normally, I would buy an AP with DVC discount for the child ticket, but I couldn't justify it with the 2006 increases. The other ticket is for my daughter who goes to the park half the time the rest of us do, and "suns" herself the other half. It should last her for a few years. ;) The rest of us have AP's for this year.

I will post when they arrive. :earsgirl:

I bought for $375 and UCT says it's the 2005 prices. Why would others have gotten the same ticket from UCT for $362 if it's supposed to be the 2005 price? Should I call?

I ordered 2 10 day tickets so that we are set for our next trip to WDW. However, it will be at least 9 months or so before we use them, so I hope all works out well.

Dear Disboard and Mouse saver users.

First all let us apologize for the confusion we created regarding our 2005 prices for Disney. We understand it resulted in questions regarding our integrity and caused problems for Mary and her mousesavers newsletter.

In December we deliberately increased our STOCK of 2005 Disney Tickets - in order to offer you the lowest prices (if we pay 2005 prices we can PASS the savings onto you, rather than increase our profit margins).

In December and January we always expereince an increase in demand which we planned for, however Mary kindly offered to mention us too, this resulted in our stock of tickets being depleted at a faster rate than we expected.

We raised the prices to cover new costs (acquiring the cash flow to fulfill millions of dollars of orders does not come cheaply) and to SLOW demand (still offering huge savings over regular 2006 prices).

This enabled us to continue offering great prices and be able to fulfill existing orders. The only other choice was to remove all tickets completely. We in fact had to do this temporarily yesterday to give us time to ensure supply could meet demand.

We were not trying to make excessive profits, purely control demand and meet new costs associated with cash flow.

Even the increase prices were below the 2005 gate and similar to what most "discount" websites offered in 2005.

In addition Undercovertourist and the link from Mousesavers lead to same price. The confusion caused by us was not mousesavers fault, we failed to
tell mousesavers about the price increases, we meant to, we messed up.

At these prices we are able to meet all demand - we do require 5 EXTRA business days than normal to ship. We anticipate our stock will last until January 10th.

I ordered 4 - 7 Day Tickets on Sunday (I think I got 2005 pricing) and the tickets showed up today at my work. The tickets are kind of flimsey though - not like the hard plastic ones I had before. Is this they way they come now and will they be converted to plastic ones when we get there?? Just curious. Thanks.

I went to the UCT site a short while ago and on the first page it gave the price of a 10 day-MYW Park Hopper, No Exp for $340. Then when I pushed the purchase button the price became $370. The 1st price DOES include taxes so there is not a reason for the increase. What's up with that?

Yep that is how the tickets come - they are really tough though and can take a beating! The only time I've ever had the hard plastic tickets was the first year we went and we bought a package and the tickets were put on our room key. After that I've always booked my room and bought tickets seperately and the hoppers have always been made of paper.

I ordered my ticket on 1/3/06 at 3AM, and it was delivered today priority mail. 5 Day Park Hopper Adult, No Expiration. $265.

Did you ask for express delivery? Also, what date did you put down for when you needed your tickets? Just trying to get a feel for when I might expect to receive mine...thanks!

I chose regular shipping to the US, FREE (6 business days). I didn't put a date.

Oh good. I ordered mine on Jan 2 and my credit card was charged on Jan 3 so this means I should be getting mine too.

I got the ticket today that I ordered on the 2nd of January!!
That is FAST!!!! I'll give them a thumbs up! :)

A quick update on shipping progress. All orders dated Jan 2nd were shipped by Jan 4th.
About half of Jan 3rd orders were shipped Jan 4th.

All Jan 3rd and most Jan 4th will be shipped today. Hopefully we will also be able to ship some Jan 5th Orders today.

Once items are shipped (with regular shipping) it take 2-4 Business days for delivery.

This is slower than our normal turn around time, however I am sure you can appreciate the demand is higher than normal.

If you want to know the exact status of your order, you can contact us directly. We would prefer inquires are made via email.

My biggest problem? Everytime I go to the Undercover tourist website, my computer freezes, so there is no way for me to order. Happened last year with the "price wars" and happened again this week. (Several tries, no go). :earseek: I take this to mean that I am NOT to buy tickets until I get my budget under control. I'm thrilled for the rest of you, and DH is thrilled for me! :rotfl:

Dear Debbie

May I ask what browser you are using ? Also if you wish to order please call on 1 800 846 1302 (that number works from Canada too) or +1 386 239 8624. We will gladly take your order on the phone.

bought a couple highest 10day tix @ 375 each. not a bad deal really since it'll most likely last us couple of years..even well after the 2007 price increase.

just to make sure...10day premium thing is really 10 day tix for park and ADDITIONAL 5 tix for plus activies?

Yes, you are right. So that 10 day premium "thing" ;) could really last you 15 days! :cool1:

As someone who purchased 4 tickets after receiving the Mousesavers newsletter, I really appreciate you taking the time to come on the dis boards and reassure us that everything is ok and tickets have shipped. That is excellent CS in my book and I will remember that purchasing future tickets and doing recommendations!

Thanks!
