Is TRON at MK Pooh-Sized Friendly?

My spouse is smallish for a guy (about 5'6"and 160 lb) but something about his body shape gets him stuck on FOP every time. The restraint auto release doesn't work so the Cast Member has to manually release him from the seat. Makes me curious as to whether or not we'll get to enjoy the same laugh at his expense on the Tron ride.

A number of larger guests have been able to fit. As per Disney fan sites and social media.

One CM said larger guests don't have time to maneuver into the seats and take selfies.
Thanks - that’s a reminder to keep watching comments. More information is bound to come in. I remember when FoP was in previews, the size issue seemed much worse than it turned out to be.

So my husband is over 6 ft 5 and very slim as well. There's still several inches difference between him and your husband but what part is uncomfortable for your husband on FOP? Does he feel scrunched down? I'm wondering if Tron not having a box basically around you like FOP does will help? Then again I wonder if where he knees hit might be too far off the knee area...hmm I hope my husband doesn't have that issue either.

This is the knee part I'm talking about

Okay so to add to this list we need tall peeps to give us some feedback!
Highlighted the part of your quote I'm responding to. I asked DH today and he said that, actually, FoP is not too much of a problem for him (I guess I thought it was), it's RnRC because of the shoulder constraints. So, I guess Tron may be okay for him? He's 6'9".

Not a size comment but several mentions have been made that people haven’t had time to take selfies. I thought you couldn’t ride with your phone?

There’s a compartment on the ride vehicle that’s just large enough for phone, wallet, other similarly small item.

Will they allow you to ride with an Apple Watch on your wrist?
Why wouldn't they?

We rode on Gringtotts a few months after it open. IPhone and Apple watch thought we were in an a accident and wanted to call 911. We were able to stop the call. I believe apple improved the algorithm. They could use GPS location.

Rode it, I’m 6’5” 300+LB, 44” waistline and fit. It’s the most awkward restraint to get into, but after getting in it was comfortable.

I have the newest iPhone and Apple Watch and when I finished with some rides (I think Guardians was one of them) I got a notice that sound levels had hit 90 decibels (or maybe 95?)

There will also be issues with DAS. 30 min wait and its only on CM previews? That wait is only going to grow. 30 mins or longer will end up excluding Pooh sized DAS guests unless they have an alternative waiting method for them.
I could see how it could be a tremendously longer wait for Pooh-sized guests, especially if they've boarded the regular seats and don't fit (and multiple people find this out per train...and what happens if they all want to ride the same train with their party??). But not sure how this is going to affect DAS? I'd assume it would function as most other VQs and once your BG return time comes around, you'd show the CM you have DAS and enter the LL? Unless I'm missing something/misinterpreting something in your post?

Yay! I was really hoping the comments of having to be a size 14 or smaller were exaggerated. I've never had an issue with FOP but I'm not small. I'm short but a size 16 so I was a little worried. I have had no issues with rides at Universal. The only ride there I had an issue with was Hagrids, I fit on the bike but I had trouble feel secure because I had trouble reaching the handle bars, the sidecar was much more enjoyable. I see that Tron has two sets of handlebars so I'm hoping that'll work for being short.

Yep. My husband kept asking me if they've turned up the volume so i did the noise check with my watch on a bunch of rides last month in Disneyland... most were over 90 which was pretty sad. They really don't need to be THAT loud imo!

My husband is 6'1 and 225 pounds or so. He had no issues with Tron in Shanghai when we were there and we went on it several times.

There is one line for Tron. And then a secondary line for Tron accessible. So a DAS user waits the necessary time with DAS, uses LL to access the ride, then finds out they have a 30+ min wait in the incredible slow moving accessible line. The accessible line portion is what concerns me because DAS and accessibility do coincide for some people so I hope in these previews Disney figures out something better than stand in that secondary line for 30+ mins. These folks would need an alternate waiting option because of the length of the secondary accessible line. Or Disney could shove through fewer guests to wait in the line, which would decrease wait times in the normal line and therefore ease pressure on the accessible line.

I think what they are saying is what if a person has a DAS and they are pooh sized. They will have to wait long waits for the bench seat and therefore have waited much longer than everyone else which could be an issue for them depending on their DAS needs.

I am concerned because my DS has a DAS and he will need the bench seat because that is the safest option for him. What I am hearing is we will wait out our DAS standby time outside, of course, then we will enter and not only have the LL wait (based on GoG it could be 15-30 minutes) and then on top of that he will have to wait in what is probably a confined space with lots of people around for another 30+ minutes. This could be a problem for some DAS users.

It was extremely shortsighted to not put a bench seat on every train given it was going to be located in the US, not China.

Our group of 14 rode it in Shanghai. I'm 220lbs and had no issues. The one reason two of our group got to to ride in the buggy was the length of their leg from knee to foot - theirs were too long so they couldn't get their knees down deep enough into the ride for the locking pin behind the knee to engage.

So I’ve seen a lot of back and forth on theme park Twitter between this and super mario world mario kart (which is a dark ride but also rightfully has been criticized for size issues).

I’ve heard quite a few different takes but tbh w biggest one is no matter your size for Tron TEST THE SEAT! Some short people have had issues, and there have been fellow plus sized humans who got on no issue.

I genuinely will never understand why they don’t accommodate differently here when making a frame by frame of a ride. Because tbh it’s not like I’m not trying to lose weight-I actively am. But just like pant styles and sizes in some stores vary for humans, so does everyone on a daily basis. Plus we have far better ADA compliance and also have different sets of safety rules as well. So it’s not like they can’t figure something out.

This is what I'm concerned about with my husband. Might be one of the only rides we do a test seat for him.
