Is "TONGA TOAST" worth the trip?

When they serve you, they tell you to try it without syrup first. DH and I split it and a fruit plate which is plenty of food and we at least feel like we ate a little bit healthy:laughing:

For me, Tonga Toast is definitely worth the trip to the Poly. In fact, if I were anywhere in Florida, I couldn't imagine the Tonga Toast not being worth the trip to the Poly. But FWIW, the Poly has so much ambiance and atmosphere that helps make the trip worth it too. It's not like the Poly is some little shack in the middle of nowhere that just sells tonga toast. It's a remarkably themed monorail resort at WDW. The Tonga Toast is icing on the cake. :thumbsup2

I thought the Tonga Toast was ok. I liked it but only for a few bites. I LOVED the Pineapple and Macadamia Nut Pancakes. The Pancakes were very good. And the pressed coffee....can't forget the coffee.

My thought is that if you love COOKED bananas, then this is something you should try. Some love UNCOOKED bananas and hate Tonga Toast - it's simply a matter of your specific tastes. Unsure? Fry some up (with a little butter) one morning and try it over your pancakes or toast.

Personally speaking, I love bananas, but am "iffy" (can take them or leave them) for them when cooked.
