Is it the last day for F & F? Our rep is off tues and wed, so we still haven't gotten ahold of her. I had 2 people PM with their names as referrals, I am just afraid we will miss out. We wanted to do Beach club so badly, but just never did. I was a CM at the time so I got a discount anyway on property, and now that I'm not, really looking into it. For all of you experts out there, does it just make the most sense to do SS. The points are better?? WE will probably only come out from CA, everyother year, and I guess Bank the other years? This is all so new to us, We have 6 children, so never time to do long trips and too expensive with so many kids, now down to 2 at home, we have more freedom. Disneyland twice a year, and WDW, every 2 years, and 2 cruises, we LOVE Disney, so am I okay, to do SS? WE have stayed at BeachClub, and Boardwalk before and Love walking to Epcot, so will I just hate the long bus ride?? Please Help Time is running out

You are looking completely at personal preference. If you always want to stay at BCV or BWV, you should probably try and get a resale purchase (or buy direct from Disney if they have the points available).

If you buy-in at SSR and want to stay at BWV or BCV, you can always try to get those ressies at 7 months. You may or may not get what/where you want. Example: you might be able to get a pref view at BWV, but not a std. view.

Now, SSR is a great deal. The cost is the lowest it has been (and will likely not get that low again, but that's just speculation on my part).

The promo does end today, so if you really want in, you might want to call and talk to another guide to see if they can at least get things started. If you pay your deposit, you'd at least be locked in on the current price. You would then have a couple of days if you decide you wanted to cancel the contract.

Good luck

Yes, today is the last day for the F & F incentive. However, others have posted that as long as you call and leave a message today that you want to buy, you will be able to get it - even if your guide can't get back to you today.

FWIW, your questions seem to indicate that you haven't really done the research you need to do to see if DVC makes sense for your situation. Also sounds like you aren't really sure if SSR is the resort you want, either.

My advice is not to worry about the incentive - just do your homework and be sure so that you don't end up making a mistake. Rushing is usually not a good thing. There will be other incentives and the resale market will not go away. In the meantime, you can rent points for your next WDW trip and see what you think.

Best wishes -

Thanks for the help, Carol you mentioned I haven't done my homework on this. NO I haven't. We have wondered about this for years, but since I had the discount as a CM, we never did it. NOw that we don't, and everyone here feels this is the best deal, I wish I had known about this deal at the start of the month, and then by this date, I would have done the leg work. I just don't want to kick myself and say why didn't we....
I have read the buses are really slow to SS, and that worries me, that we will get there and be stuck. When we come to WDW, we don't usually rent a car, we are totally dependent on the Bus system, which we have found to be pretty good. Are they just much slower to the DVC sites?? Thanks again.
I have been a disboarder for 2 years now, just not on DVC site. Only Cruise, and CM.... Thanks again

I once left a message for my CM on the last day of one promotion and, when he called me back I was eligible for that promotion and the new one! It worked out super. The promotions were different types.

Good luck and welcome. :thumbsup2

My sales guide told me if you call and leave your name they will honor the promo.

Good luck

I haven't read a bus problem in a while. It's not a DVC problem its a brand new resort problem. Each resort has growing pains. I know I personally have waited a long time for a bus at other resorts. It happens at the all.

We drive down and we never use our car while we are down, only the busses and we didn't have a problem.
