Is the three night cruise worth it? It fits in better for us as we are planning to use part DVC points but I have heard some say that the 3 night isn't worth it and we would be better off doing the four. Has anyone done the three night and what comments do you have? Thanks.

We just did a 3 night. I have to say it goes pretty quick but for my family it works because of time restraints. I would rather do a 4 day but I figure 3 is better than none.
That being said, We had a great time. I'm booking another 3 night in Sept. Then a 4 night in April 2003. You will have a great time on the 3 night but if you can swing go for 4.
Tip

The three night for us was the Land/Sea and it went by quite quickly, but it did whet our appetite for a longer cruise. The next cruise we did was the 7 day. We liked it so much, as you can see, we are going again this Halloween.

So I would say the 3 night is a Try out cruise to see if it is something you might want to do again

We did the 3 night cruise in Oct. of 2001, and are going back for another 3 night this October, taking with us my parents, sister's family, and brother's family. In Jan. we did the 7 night, and loved it. The 3 night does seem short, but I feel it is definitely worth it for us. Haven't done the 4 night, yet, but hope to. We had never cruised prior to Oct. 2001, so I wanted to ease into it--thinking if we liked it we could go again; if we didn't like it, well it is only 3 nights.

Our first cruise was the 3 night. Our second was the four night. Our third was the 7 night.

The four night seemed much longer than the three night.

The three night is Thurs - Sun while the four night is Sun - Thurs. Might not seem like a big deal, but that alone made it feel like is was almost a week as opposed to a long weekend.

The day at sea is a blast.

I guess if it is a choice between a three and nothing, do the three. If its a choice between long and short, do the longest you can!

Have a great time!

A three-night cruise only gives two full days (plus a partial day when you board). You have to deal with all the issues of getting to and from the ship, check-in, security, luggage handling, muster drill, etc., as if you were taking a longer cruise -- but then your time on the ship is very limited.

I too am a DVC member, our first cruise was a 3 day in July 2000. We chose this because we never cruised before, and were afraid to be sick. We had spent 3 days at OKW as well, so it was a long vacation. The time you spend on the ship goes quickly, it's like you just get to know your way around and your getting off.........

The advantage of DVC, is if you like it..you can do it again. We are cruising in July this time is a 4 day.

The 3 day definitely isnt long enough....but 3 days on the Wonder sure beats 3 days at home! :D

Before Disney we did a 4 day cruise(honeymoon), and we have since done a 3 day Disney cruise. Of course we couldnt do everything so we have to go back again in July to take another 3 day cruise.

While Im sure a 4 or a 7 day cruise would be better than a 3 day, I dont see anything wrong with the 3 day if thats all you can do.

Our first ever cruise was a 3 day because my DH didn't think he'd like it. It was my 50th b-day present from him because that was what I really, really wanted to do. When we disembarked, he asked me "When are we going again" and we were hooked. We've been on a couple more 3 days but never a 4. We've also been on a couple of 7 days. We're going on a 7 in Sept. and another 3 day Oct. 2003 with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. We enjoyed all of them and I don't think a 3 day is a waste of time. It's a small taste and makes you want to go back or do a longer one but I would do a 3 day in a heartbeat. Hope you decide to do it and have a wonderful time.

While we were on our 4 night on the Wonder, I asked the CM's which was better. They said they enjoy the 4 night because the guests are more relaxed. On the 3 night, everyone seems to be in a rush to get everything done.

I agree with CamColt "3 days on the Wonder sure beats 3 days at home."

What is your travel time? Are you spending any more days in the area? I've been on the 3 day cruise as part of the Land/Sea 7 day and had a great time. But I would hesitate to do a 3 day cruise on its own because the travel time for me is just too long from the West Coast.
