Are you sure those are people? Maybe it's just a pile of ponchos that didn't keep anyone dry.

If they are really people:

Maybe they're holding their spot for the next day's parade.
Maybe they are totally caught up in the magic and didn't realize it was raining.
Maybe they didn't realize it was real rain and not Disney provided magic.
Maybe they were so tired, they just plopped down from exhaustion.
Maybe they think the CMs are automotrons and don't mind working in major downpours.

It could be me. I've done some stupid and crazy things on rainy WDW days before. I like the rain, hate the ponchos.

Oh, yeah.

I was walking to the trash dumpster the other night, rounded the corner, and it started raining just like this. I looked like I fell into a pool by the time I got back home (and it was only a total of five minutes from the dumpster to my front door)!

It rained like that last year 2 or 3 days of our week long trip (in October). It was AWFUL! We managed to still enjoy ourselves with ponchos We sat and watched a parade in rain just a bit lighter than that though....it was sad watching all the characters having to walk in the drizzle and still having smiles on their faces. We knew in those hot costumes and outfits, now wet from the rain, they had to be miserable.

HAW HAW HAW!!! That's hilarious! And you're right...they do look highly suspicious.
