thanks you guys im glad im not the only one
when i watch animal cops houston or pheonix, i always hear the people on there talking to the animals. i guess it makes them feel a bit calmer and less stressed. and most of them have a fear of humans so the people talk to them to make them a bit less afraid.

I talk to my dog a lot too I am certain the neighbours think I'm potty. I think he understands a lot of what I say. In fact when the guinea pigs were alive we used to talk to them too. I wish the dog could talk back sometimes as I am certain he would know where I left my keys/purse etc... when I am in a hurry.
