Is this true?

Almost everytime I call to make ADRs, I get a new "story" about one thing or another. I just got off the phone with a CM who told me that there was no way I could plan to use Disney transportaion and make my 8:10 seating at Crystal Palace if I am staying at the POR. She said that all trans. begins at 8:00 and I would need to take the monorail to the MK. She said I should take the bus from POR to the transportation hub and then get on the monorail to the MK. She said no buses leave POR before 8:00. I am really confused. Is this true?

Interestingly, she asked if I was on the dining plan when I tried to make a ADR at le Cellier. I said we'd probably be paying for the meal as I would have used all my "points" on character breakfasts and other restaurants... She said, "Good because I have no spots left for vouchers." I didn't know they discriminated between paying on the spot and paying for the plan or "free" vouchers... Hmmmm.

Sorry for the tangent...can I get a bus from POR before 8:00?

Thanks for any info you can share!

you can most definitely get to an early ADR in a theme park via wdw transport... it won't be a problem... buses start running between 7 and 7:15... just be sure to be at the bus stop by 7 and you'll be good to go! ENJOY!

now, about cash customers vs. dining plan customers... i have not heard that there is a difference nor that ADRs are being held for one group and not the other... methinks her info was incorrect... not sure when you are travelling, but perhaps she confused dining plan w/candlelight processional?

I am staying at POR Aug 20-26 and I just had another CM tell me I would probably have to take a cab to make my ADRs at 8:10 (Crystal Palace) and 8:30 (Princess Breakfast Askershus). I am so confused. I thought the buses started running around 7:00 too!

The buses most definitely start running early. This has been brought up many times in many threads and the transportation gurus (Tyler - who used to be in purple pants) has said that the buses run early, enough time for you to get to CP, and Akershus.

I don't put much stock in what CMs say anymore over the phone. I get most of my info here or other websites that actually have CMs who know what's going on. Unfortunately, it really confuses people when CMs are saying one thing or another that we know is incorrect.

my best advice is to post this over on the transporation board... there's a former "wearer of the purple pants" (aka bus driver) over there and he is super-knowledgeable... i'm sure he or others will tell you for sure!

The CM's at WDW Dining have told guests for years (literally) that no bus will be available to take them to early breakfasts from the resorts. And, for years, the buses have always been there. Why the dining CM's continue to say this, I don't know. I'm sure they are being told to inform guests that there won't be transportation, but it's just not true!

We personally have taken the Disney buses to character breakfasts at least 8 times (maybe more, I may have forgotten one or two) before park opening, and we've always made it in plenty of time.

Chip 'n Dale Express is the CM who used to be a "wearer of the purple pants" (he now works at one of the resorts) and he has reassured many, many guests that the buses will indeed be there despite what they're being told when making ADR's. If you post over on the transportation board, he will probably see your post and calm your fears. :)

Thank you all so much for responding. I should have posted on the Transportation Board (if only I had known there was one! --Talk about clueless--that's another story!!)

It is so exciting planning for this trip but frustrating at times! Thanks again!

I was told the same thing when I made my ADR's for our upcoming October trip. I called ASMo's directly and asked the CM there if we would have transportation for a 8:20 and he assurred us we would.

I had an ADR at Crystal Palace for 8:15 and had no trouble getting there on time using WDW transportation from POP. You should be fine.
