I saw this quote on the facebook page of Disney land... there is a photo and you're supposed to comment the best kept Disney Secret. Anyway, is this true? and which ride is it?

" If you go to storeybook land ride just before the fireworks begin...they stop the boat and you have a perfect seat to watch as you are literally surrounded by fireworks."

It is true but it's really hard to time it just right. Also, your boat could stop in a place where you can't see them at all.

Yep, the last time we tried we ended up watching the fireworks from the line :headache:. We did see the fireworks from Autopia once, and that was a lot of fun.

Keep the Secret, shh don't tell anyone about DVC. ;)

I got a real kick out of seeing a firework or two from Thunder Mountain once! :yay:

^ Here in Phoenix (Tempe) Arizona, we actually have a Disney Store Outlet store. It's located in The Arizona Mill's Mall.
It looks like a regular Disney Store but sells discounted Disney merchandise.

Yes, it's true if you're lucky enough to get it timed right. :) My DS and I decided to try it and it worked out perfectly for us. While we were waiting in line to board the boat, it was getting really close to the time that the fireworks were starting and I wasn't sure if we'd make it onto a boat in time.
But....we did, and a few minutes into the ride they stopped the boat because the fireworks were starting. It was absolutely awesome! The fireworks were practically right over our heads and they were huge! It was one of the most fun things we have done at DLR, but it might not always work out because of the timing issue. It's definitely worth a try though.:)

We saw the fireworks once come out of It's A Small World. That was pretty cool!

Seeing the fireworks while on the Matterhorn was amazing! It seemed like they were right in front of you.

The Disney Store Outlet in Arizona Mills Malls has had actual parks merchandise in the past. The majority of the items are Disney Store, but last time I was there (quite a while ago) there was a Disney Parks section.

Last September or October I got a super-cute and WARM Disney Parks corduroy jacket for something well under $30 (Mickey print on the inside and a hidden Mickey on the sleeve). Also a couple Matterhorn pins for $1 or $2 each (figured they were OK and would work if I ever wanted to pin trade).

Was that something you intentionally were going for or a happy accident? Do you need to perfectly time it like the boat trick or just be in line for the Matterhorn when it's fireworks time?

What?? I thought that was a Character Warehouse "outlet" not a DIsney store outlet? IF it is the latter - they are GREAT. They have one of each in Las Vegas and the DIsney Store Outlet is the one to get to.

If that is a DIsney store outlet, I am surprised and will trot over there to check it out!

Thanks!:hippie:

We saw them from Matterhorn, too, one time. NO, we didn't plan it that way...just happened to be the right time! It was awesome! :)

Also, the astro-orbitors are fun during fireworks, too!

The one in Arizona Mills is a Disney Store Outlet. I don't go very often but they DID have SOME Disney Parks merchandise last last year and the one time I went this year (don't remember when that was; maybe early this year?).

They seem to have overall better stuff than the character warehouse last time that came to Phoenix.

I also have seen the park merchandise at AZ Mills and totally agree that the merchandise is better there than the character warehouse! :thumbsup2
