I had some guy quote me 395 bucks for a limo transfer from Sanford to WDW today...he said Sanford was 1 hour and 30 mins away???? Is this true??

How far away is Sanford from WDW??

NO, it's more like an hour! When we used a towncar service from Sanford to WDW back in '01, there were 6 of us, so we needed a van. I believe I was quoted a price of about $250 r/t. With a grocery stop. When we got to the airport, our driver said he had a big surprise for us...he sure did. A stretch limo that wasn't being used, so we were able to have it for the same price as a van. So very cool.
I don't know who quoted you a price but I would check around. We usde Tiffany Towncar for that trip and several others. And we have used FL Tours, a board sponsor in the past.

I just checked out prices with both the above companies for a towncar from Sanford to WDW...they were both about $200 r/t. I think you can do much better than what you were quoted.

I did some research today on transportation from Sanford. If you go to the Sanford Airport site it gives you a list of approved limo services. I found most charge $85-$90 one way/ $160-$165 RT. It appears to be about a fifity minute trip. I did a search on these boards and found some folks rent a car at Sanford and use it only to get to the resort, turn it in and get another one way rental for the return trip to Sanford. Some said it cost as little as $40 each way.

Rent a car one way and drop it at the Dolphin...same for your return. While not as relaxing as having a service drive you, much cheaper.

I was able to do this and get a van for my family of 5 for $38 one way.
