Is this true about park passes?

While at the DS this morning, the lady in front of me was buying park passes. She was going to use AAA for the discount, but the CM told her that with their new "tracking system" and "infinity" program, for the $4.00 extra for buying the tickets thru Disney, you would be given a seperate receipt that would enable WDW to track your tickets in the event they are lost or stolen and they would issue replacement tickets. I asked wouldn't it be the same if you had just copied the back of the tickets. She said no, with their new system, that will no longer work.

Anyone else hear anything about this??

I don't know if the part about the back of the new passes is true or not, but when I bought my passes last week the CM did go on and on about the second receipt she gave me with the code numbers on it that can track my passes in the event I lost them. She said to keep that piece of paper in a separate place.

I didn't think AAA had that much of a discount over the Disney Store prices anymore. I thought the price was just a discount over the gate price??

I just checked and AAA is $203. 4 day adult and Disney Store is $204.49

Gate is $211.95.

The cost of the Hoppers at AAA depend on the AAA that you belong to. I work at AAA and our price in Northeast PA is $200.41 including taxes. Savings over gate $11.53.

I see. I didn't know that. I thought all AAA were the same! So my savings at my AAA is $1.49 over TDS and your AAA is $4.08 over TDS. (gate doesn't matter to me as I'd buy ahead of time).

Every AAA is run by a different board of directors. So although we offer the most of the same services, we can and do differ in some that we provide.

For instance, our AAA offers one set of passport pictures at no charge to those members who have AAA Plus and those clients who book vacations with us.

there is no AAA discount at the Disney Store. The 2nd receipt is given out with all tickets at no extra charge....
