is this true! about booking 2 rooms at once

I had two rooms booked one at AKL and one at POFQ, for June. When I called to put down a deposit on one of the rooms (already had on AKL), the CRO noticed the 2nd res. he said I couldn't do that. He was very pleasant about it and I remained so also. But he said that if I didn't take one away soon, the system will automatically cancel both out.

The thing is the CRO who gave me the last res. Knew that it was a second one and said it was not a problem.
I was just waiting to approach DH about the upgrade, he's been sick with chicken pox and in no mood for Disney talk. I wound up cancelling AKL just to avoid trouble.
But is it true that both res. would be cancelled? He said they would probably send out a cancellation notice after the fact.

This topic has come up a lot lately, here and at other Disney boards. It seems Disney is cracking down on the practice of making many ressies and cancelling later.

Not much to contribute, but know you aren't the only one who has dealt with this lately.

Can you have 2 or 3 ressies at the same hotel during the same timeframe. I ask this strange question because I was looking at the online reservation system and noticed you cannot book 2 rooms at the same time and it says that you need to book each room separately. Since I've never done this, I'm wondering how it would work since if a person needed 2 rooms, would the person have to show themselves in each of the rooms? I would love to hear from someone who may have done this. Normally I just call, but was curious.

You can book two rooms at the same resort, no problem.
I am having problems having both confirmations sent here instead of one to us & one to my Step-son. The trip is a gift to them & I didn't want them to see the paperwork & cost. I was pretty adamant about it, but CRO said they are bound by some postal law that I didn't really understand.....
