Am I obsessed?
I love budgeting......for our WDW vacation, our might I say, maybe "overbudgeting"...............in great detail....

for the 5 of us..all adults....I even set aside...

$25.00...tip for airport people..to handle our luggage...
$40.00..breakfast at mcdonalds at the airport.....
$25.00..Bloody Marys for 3 of us at the airport before we board
the plane..(hey, it's vacation!)

$25.00...tip for airport transfer person

$25.00 tip for WDW resort personnel...

(am I obssessed.....do I need help!!)

I try to do the same even though I don't always stick to it....but I figure if I account for as many expenses that I can I have a better change of not over spending..

Same here.....I try to over-estimate each category (tips, snacks, meals, etc) for piece of mind. Do not want to count pennies when I am on vacation but also do not want to return home with a BIG CC debt to pay off due to lack of planning.

No, not too detailed at all. The tipping and that kind of incidentals is where your budget can go wrong. I have a whole sheet of tipping expenses, 18 days at WDW it really adds up. I will separate these all into tip envelopes so that we don't have to think about this at all.I think that only a fellow Diser would fully understand our need for such organization but this is what allows our trips to flow so beautifully!!

I even budget tips for housekeeping...tips for meals...etc. It really helps to know all your expenses before you travel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But!!! Watch those Receipts!!! Many times I found after I got home and more closely checked,a 15% tip had already be added. But I had tipped them 20% without realizing it!! :earseek:

I budget the same way. Like Minster22 I put everything into envelopes. I have my draft and margarita money, ice-cream and pop corn money for the kiddies, and even the $5 for a new sticker on our water park mugs. I hate thinking I have alot to play with then got nickel and dimed to death. It's funny too because once it goes into an envelope I feel like it is already gone and therefore don't feel guilty when I spend $20 on a Mickey picture frame.

I second budgeting tips AND having it ready (in ones) before you travel. I set aside $50 before our trip and was out of tips by the third day! We spent the day at Epcot buying everything with 20's! :) Will take the above advice and put the Mousekeeping $ in envelopes before I pack.
