Below are my ADR's.
I am concerned that we may be doing too much and it may take some of our time. I think I am ok, but would like some feedback. Myself, DW, DS-11, DS-9

POLY-10/31-11/03

Boma - Flavors of Africa @ Animal Kingdom Lodge Dinner 11/3/2006(Fri)

Le Cellier Lunch 11/4/2006 (Sat) This may not happen depending on how our last day goes. This and Boma are really for myself and DW, but the boys dictate what we do.

We generally only make one ADR a day for a sit down restaurant. Any more then that and it tends to take up way more time then I want. Though we like to eat 3 meals a day it is mostly one large sit down and two small on the go meals. There is no way I'd be able to eat two large meals a day.

What's a few ADR's to someone who is staying at three different resorts?! :teeth:

If these are your plans, great! Don't worry about what others think. For what it's worth, we often make two ADRs on the same day. There are so many great places to eat, and if you're not on the dining plan you don't have to stuff yourself at each meal.

We normally try to only do 1 sit down as well but it's your vacation so if you would like to try it go ahead. DW and I went to Raglan road last month and loved it, but the Earl of Sandwich is also a good choice as a CS meal.
If at all possible try to cancel the ADR's that you do not want so other's can get them.

Congrats! The only day that looks like too much for me is the Magic Kingdom/ Halloween Party day. I think you will find the day a bit tiring. We are going to relax in the morning and then go for a nice brunch or late lunch somewhere. Then all fresh we will hit the MK at 4 and spend the whole party with hopefully alot of energy!

You know we have never had luck with going counter service at Downtown Disney- It is alway so crowded. And your choices are pretty limited.(everybody loves the Earl... me not so much) I would keep your Kona dinner- the kids will love that Kone dessert and the food there is great for you as well.

We like to do only 1 ADR a day too.It takes quit a bit of time to get to each of these restaurants and you still will have to wait some even with ADR's.Plus after one big meal we dont want another but everyone is different and knows what is best for there family - thats just us and our DD is alot younger than your kids are - she wouldnt do 2 a day. We like to get a light breakfast usually at the hotel or just cereal in our room then go to a park and do our rides then eat lunch around 2 or so and do a CS but somewhere we can sit in the air and rest and take our time then we go back and have a later dinner usually somewhere we can watch the fireworks. That works well for us but thats us. You will enjoy 50's cafe and Biergarten both very good.Hope this helps.

We just returned from recent trip to WDW. :cool1: It was our first time back in a while and with a 5 yo in tow to boot.

Our experience w/ADR's is that we had too many. While we loved our meals, we had one TS planned per day (only one breakfast, then the rest lunches or dinners), I found that I wished we hadn't booked so many.

Part of our regret is that we felt like we were constantly making our way to a meal and would have to set aside our touring of the parks to go eat. The other consideration is that it is too, too, too much food. We were on the dining plan as well so I felt like all we were doing was eating, eating, eating. By the fourth day, we actually cancelled ADR's at Spoodles because I was sick of eating.

Now that I have the experience behind me, I think you have to consider your priorities: spending time at the parks or eating at some wonderful restaurants. Of course, we took afternoons breaks b/c of the little one, so that took a chunk of our time as well.

Next time out for us, I think that I will probably plan a TS meal every other day, but that is just us.

By the way, a very pleasant surprise for us is the quality of the food at the WDW restaurants. We were skeptical b/c of past experiences, but we found that we really enjoyed all of our meals.

Hope you have a great time -- we certainly did. :goodvibes

We are going on the free dining plan and have TONS of ADRs. I've worried, too that it may be too much, but we are trying to time things out carefully. For instance - the day we go to MGM for the full day, we are going to do counter service breakfast and lunch. I booked Mama Melrose's at 5:40 as the parade goes right by there and should be over by 5:30, and Sci Fi for dessert at 9:30 after Fantasmic.

We booked an 8:00 breakfast at 1900 Park Fare the day we are going to Epcot which opens at 9:00, then we'll do counter service lunch and supper at Le Cellier at 6:40.

The day we go to Animal Kingdom, we are going to have "Brunch" at Breakfastosaurus at 10:30 so hopefully we'll have time to do the Safari and/or Everest before we have to check in, then LATE counter service lunch either at the park, or swing over to Downtown Disney by 7 to show the kids The Adventurer's club before it gets too rowdy (that's on a Wednesday), then over to they Poly by 9:00 for the electric water pageant and ressies at 'Ohana at 9:20.

I'm hoping that all this planning will help prevent lots of criss-crossing the parks and going out of our way, thus using up valuable time. We are there for 10 full days, so we should still have plenty of time to check out all the fun stuff!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
