AKL 100 points at $100 per point? I worry it might be too low.
I realize no one knows what will pass and not, but any educated guesses would be welcome.

Not too low. But you are right, you never know what they are looking for. Loaded contracts seem to be taken the most frequently.

Depends on what points you get. Any banked? Borrowed out such that nothing until 2019-2020?

I had two contracts submitted within a month of each other several years ago .............................. one passed and one was taken.

If you compared the details of each contract, there was no doubt the better of the two contracts ......................... yes, you are correct the lesser of the two was taken.

You just never know.

Good Luck !

It still has 100 2017 points left. So that also makes me worried.

I'm in ROFR now for AKV @ $100 per point extra loaded (all 2017 points plus banked 2016 points). Should hear back any day now... we'll see.

Let me know how it goes. Wishing you good vibes. I am actually thinking of changing the offer (which was a full price offer), to $107 per point, hoping that will help it along.

The highest price we've seen Disney exercise ROFR for AKV is $95/pt. But there's a first time for everything..

Not too low with the prices that it is going for these days. It does depend on the points status, but my guess is at $100pp you should be ok

You can't guess on the ROFR so I recommend just going for the best deal you are willing to pay.

Maybe it's just me. I only worry about paying too much for something and never too little for anything. If DVD decides to swipe a good deal from you via ROFR, then just move on to the next best deal. The only thing lost is time. If one feels one's time is too important to spend moving from one ROFR'ed contract to the next, perhaps one should consider buying direct.

I think there's a balance between time savings and cost savings. For our resale contracts I did feel like it was taking a lot of time to keep checking the listings constantly and make multiple offers. It was my goal to end up with reasonably priced contracts that were unlikely to be taken in ROFR for the UY, size, and home resorts we wanted, even if they weren't necessarily the best deals ever. We still saved a ton over buying direct for those resorts.

That's exactly how I was feeling. It is time consuming constantly checking for what you are interested in. I just want to get going on the process. I thought this contract was more than reasonable, as I see so many priced way higher. I also just saw a report from one brokerage for Jan ROFR and most were for AKL and one was for $100 pp. It is true that Disney could take this contract, but at least I tried my best.

look at disboards ROFR thread there are a bunch of sub 100 contracts that passed. if Disney needs your contract it doesn't matter if its 100 or 107 they will take it. I passed with AKL 75PP when disney was ROFRing 75-95PP. I would definitely advise against you raising your offer to 107pp.

I think that it depends on your situation whether you should raise the offer in hopes of getting through ROFR. If you are already at the top of you budget or what you can afford, then absolutely do not pay more. While you may have a few contracts taken, you will eventually get one through. However if you have room in your budget and can afford more, and the higher price is still reasonable to you, then it MAY be worth paying what really comes out be a neglible amount. That being said, I had a contract that the asking price was $85/point and I had just had one taken so I offered $90/point. The extra $1250 was really nothing when you are dealing with an already over $20k contract. Of course Disney still took the contract at $90/point too, so my strategy didn’t really pan out. Although, I felt a little better that I made Disney pay more to take the contract from me. So there’s that.
