Is this too dishonest...

So do you ever go even one mile over the speed limit? After all, a LAW is a LAW, even if you're not caught.

Did I say I was perfect and never did anything wrong? I don't think so.

I wouldn't buy the ticket.

I have done it in the past. Everyone says do whats right and what you can live with. I did it and don't feel a speck of guilt about it. My DS turned 3 in April, we went in September and he was big and talked well for his age. The CM's never gave him a second look.

Proof that not everyone feels guilty when they lie and cheat.

At the entrance to MK one morning last month, a CM VERY LOUDLY asked a couple how old their child (in a stroller) was. He asked "Is he 3?" and the couple replied "Just one month" (prior). Well at least they didn't lie. The CM then shouted to them "You need to buy him a ticket!" Boy were they embarrassed! After seeing that there is NO WAY I would ever take that chance!

I hope that I don't get flamed for this, but here goes: when we go next year, our daughter will just barely be 3. I am wondering if it is possible to get away with not buying her a ticket. I found that last time we went, my son was just barely 3 and we had bought a ticket for him and it didn't really seem worth it really...does that make any sense?? Am I just bad and cheap?? LOL :confused3

Actually, I'm relatively new to these discussion boards but I have to admit, I've come across a few of these, "What do you think?" themes and they are really starting to make me wonder at people.

The reality Sarah is you don't care to know what we think, as long as we agree with you doing something dishonest and tell you it's ok!! You have already been borderline rude to some people who gave their opinion that didn't match yours and thanked those that agreed with your disception because now you weren't alone!

Please, you already know the answer to your question!

I agree with going with your gut and how you feel, but for a CM to loudly ask how old a kid is? Lord, are they that hard up for money? I know they asked the parents, and they fessed up. I can tell you now that a CM doesn't intimidate people who want to get away with something. You can't ask kids how old they are, at 3, some will say they are 5 , others will say 2, some might say 3. Sure people will say their child is under 3 to get them in free. All we can do is do what each of us feels is right. I'm not going to sit here and judge the OP as some have done. I think she has her question answered.

That said, DS will be over 10 next time we go. I have PH passes (No expire) bought last summer. How do I upgrade him to an adult? Do I cash in his ticket and put the price towards a new one or is there an upgrade fee I can pay. Would the update price be for only the days left?

Nezy - as long as you've used part of the tickets, you can just take them to Guest Relations and have the ticket exchanged for an adult ticket at no charge. If you want to, you can apply the value of the remaining days towards a new ticket, but I would NOT reccomend doing this. They front-load the tickets. What that means is that not all the days are worth the same amount of money. The expensive days are the first days you use. The remaining days are not worth nearly as much.

If the ticket is unused, you can upgrade the ticket.

HTH!
