Hey bad news I had to comfort my worst fear good news I survived it. Any way my flight out of atl ways delayed by two hours, but they still took my boarding pass I did not have to lay oop for a new ticket.

If your flight is delayed there is no reason you'd have to pay out of pocket. You're boarding the same flight you were ticketed on, just late.

If your flight was cancelled, and you weren't satisfied with the airline's rebook options and you booked a last minute flight on a different airline, then you would have to pay OOP for a completely new ticket and potentially forfeit the old one.

Why would you think you would have to pay for a new ticket? When your flight is delayed, you wait around until it leaves. If it's cancelled, your airline will put you on another flight at no cost to you (although it may not be the same day as your original flight).

True, but if you're on a flight with Allegiant Air, the next departure may be 4-5 days away. They do not put you on other carriers. Don't know what airline the op is on.
