Is this the good deal I think it is?

I was on with a very nice CM this morning for about 45 minutes - after working it many different ways(my head hurts now) this is what I got
for me and hubby

Beach Club, standard room - 12/1-4 - AP rate with dining $1031.96
Poly-lagoon view(only room available) AP rate with dining $2421.00
plus the cost of 2 AP's

as opposed to Free Dining package of $1705 Beach Club and $2584 Poly-garden view.

P.S. we are 99% sure we'll go back in the spring. Thanks for any help.

The AP rates with paid dining definitely look like a better deal than the rack rates with "free" dining. Good job!

lol - I got a PIN for free dining last week and called for prices and then today when I saw that AP was released I called for those rates - the AP prices I was quoted is with me paying to add the dining plan

Thanks to all for answering my question - I feel better now. All this planning is stressful, but the outcome is well worth it.

Based on your time at WDW, the dining option looks too expensive.

Lets do the math and see.

Original reservation = 1705 + 2584 = 4289.
New reservation = 1031.96 + 2421 + 998.98(2 APs) = 4451.94
Difference 4451.94 - 4289 = 162.94

For an addition $162.94, your getting an AP. You don't say if your original package includes hoppers or not. If it doesn't then you're already saving money as APs are hoppers. If you'll have a car then the free parking is additional savings. Since you know that you'll be taking another trip within a year then the new AP deal is MUCH better.

ETA: On top of that, your new AP reservation has a Poly lagoon view room while your original reservation was garden view. That makes it an even better deal.

Thanks Clan - after being on the phone so long and listening to so many different quotes I was getting confused - I was pretty sure it was a good deal and then second thoughts started setting in after I booked - I'm excited now and can't wait until I can schedule my PS's.
