is this resort question a no-brainer?? OKW or ASMo?

We've always stayed at ASMo (b/c we're poor cheapskates), but we're going this June (at the beginning) and I have the following dilemma:

ASMo: currently at $84 discounted, waiting for codes for June (I'm guessing $74 MAYBE, but $84 may be the best rate this year??)

Old Key West: Just over $110/night INCLUDING tax! Must book soon, non-refundable.

Like I said, we've always stayed at ASMo, but being closer to everything, the ferry to DD, 4 pools, micro and fridge in room, etc. is appealing to me.

Is the $110 a good deal? Is it worth it? Will I be missing a GREAT code later at ASMo?

Convince me to spend my hard-earned $$$$!!!!!!!!

$110.00 is a fantastic rate for an OKW studio! Where did you find this rate? Just having the mini kitchenette alone is worth the extra money. OKW is not any closer to parks etc than All Stars is but you will be at a deluxe resort, with a good sit down restaurant, the boat to DTD and more pools. I would take the $110.00 rate in a minute.

Yup, it is a no brainer for me too! OKW all the way!!! No comparison whatsoever! OKW is so much more than ASMo. The scenery alone is worth the price difference let alone the MUCH nicer room accomodations w/micro and fridge! Have a great time. BTW-Nice rate

Don't forget the coffee pot for your morning coffee and a balcony to sit and drink it on.

An OKW studio for $110/night is a STEAL! Just do it, you will not be sorry. In addition to what has already been mentioned, the OKW studios are lots bigger than rooms at ASM. An OKW studio averages 376 sq. ft (and has two queen beds), while the ASM room is only about 240 sq. ft (with two double beds).

We have never stayed at an All Star, only visted when relatives were there & thought the rooms were small. Thought it was very noisy also - & we were not there at peak time.

Have stayed at OKW in a 2BR, but I think the studios are about as big as the 2nd BR in that unit.

I would definitely go with OKW - much larger rooms & having the kitchenette will be a definite plus. You will make up the extra cost of OKW by saving money on breakfast in the room & snacks & drinks throughout the day.

Also, OKW is much more relaxing & quieter than AS. The boat to DTD is great.

OKW is soooooo relaxing! We loved our visit there. And having the small fridge, microwave & coffee in your room is wonderful! The studio also has a little balcony and the room has two queen beds not doubles like AS resorts. For $110.00 I would quickly grab it!

I've stayed at the All Stars and OKW. IMHO I would choose the All-Stars=especially if you don't have a car. I found the bus service at OKW very erratic whereas at the AS the service was a bit more frequent and reliable.

We have stayed at OKW multiple times, and we have not had trouble outside of maybe 1 or 2 timesin 3 trips that we have had to wait more than 20 minutes. When we had to wait it was not more than a few more minutes. Once at the close of EPCOT when busing is usually a prob anyway. The other was at DTD where busing is usally seems not as frequent! I think that is acceptable We find the buses comparable to all of the other resorts we have stayed at (incl. but not limited to AKL, BWV, ASMo, and VWL). Have a great trip!

Hi we just returned in early dec from a stay at both ! I would definately go back to the studio we had at OKW over ASMO .
not that i didn't like ASMO but the Studio was HUGE !!! in comparison.. We had great bus service at OKW too.. well worth the extra 26 per day !!! Hope this helps Michelle
