ive just been offered a flight on either british airways or virgin for 2 weeks in september, from london heathrow direct to new york and then returning with british airways/virgin from orlando to london. we also have an internal flight with delta song from new york to orlando. im thinking a few days in new york and then 10 days in disney!
i have been quoted £460 including tax for all 3 flights.

the deal runs out on tuesday. what do you think? is this a bargain or should we wait and see if anything better comes along? any comments welcome! :flower1:

Have you done some comparisons for the same dates on Expedia or opodo? That should give you an idea if the price is good.

Are you spending any time in New York itself, or is it just a few hours at the airport?

I only ask this because an airline once offered me a flight from the UK that landed at JFK, but then the leg to Orlando took off from La Guardia airport and the time allowed between one flight and the other wasn't exactly generous. Because I knew how far apart the airports were, I refused this as I wasn't sure I could make the connection.

no we would be spending a few nights in new york first!

it was just an idea to go someone new before going to disney (this would be my third year running going to disney and as much as i adore it- i think going somewhere new would be exciting!).

how much is a cheap flight direct to orlando with virgin/BA? ive been quoted £400. so i just though for £60 more we could stay in new york first.

thank you for everyones replies so far! :)

That sounds good to me :earseek:

In October 2003 we flew to NY stayed 4 nights then flew internally with Jet Blue to Orlando, just as you're considering. It worked out very well. You should check out the Jet Blue web site ,they were amazing.

we've booked through virgin for our wedding/honeymoon, so my mum was looking for flights to get over there for her and dad and i think the cheapest they found for virgin was just short of £400. we are flying to vegas for a week after 2 weeks in orlando and they are charging us about £200 each for the internal flights.
so £460 for all 3 flights is a really good price i think
