So, short back story. Had dinner reservation at mama melrose Thanksgiving night. Accidently cancelled it while trying to to change it (dang phone and fat fingers) and couldn't get it back. Got Sci-fi to replace it, but not until 9 pm and we want to see the jingle jam fireworks. my question is - would Sci-fi just let us come after the fireworks? Or is that asking too much? (I know I can try all day, everyday to get something earlier, but just wondering if anyone has ever done this before - been seated after the fireworks were over for a reservation.)

Doubtful. More likely you will be charged the no-show fee, since you'll be at least 25-30 minutes late at best, on an evening that's a 9PM close. You have the latest ADR they'll take that night, and letting you be seated half an hour late is a logistical issue for the kitchen, the staff, etc.

True... I didn't think about that close was actually 9. I thought it was 9:30 since that's the last fantasmic that night. Guess I'll keep trying for something earlier. Dang my stupidity for accidentally cancelling the mama melrose reservation.
