I have banked my 2011 points and don't get 2012's until March. My sister just called me and asked if she can rent point for two nights on their upcoming trip in January. Since my points are banked can I rent her points? If so how badly will this mess up my own points? Thanks in advance friends!

Since you have banked your 2011 points (and you can't unbank them), I believe you would have to borrow 2012 points in order to rent them to her.

So then when you get your points in March 2012 you will get your usual allotment minus the ones you borrowed for January.

You will have to borrow the points from your 2012 use year as the vacation in January, 2012 falls within your 2011 UY.

But know that borrowing is a final transaction and you cannot un-borrow the points if your sister bails out.

I also have March use year points, and January isn't the best time to use those points. If you borrow your 2012 points for your sister to use in January, and she cancels on you, those points will expire on the last day of February. Make sure she isn't going to cancel before you borrow those points - it is a final transaction.
