OK not sure if this is possible, but can people trade a resv.? For example one books THV but wanted to stay in BWV, and vise versa. Could the two just trade resv to avoid waitlist for busy weeks?

An owner can make a reservation and put it in another's name (that is what is most often done for rentals). Thus, if you have contact with another owner who is willing to do the trade you suggest, you can both do it by one reserving for the other.

It is certainly possible, and you may utilize our Rent/Trade Board to facilitate the trade if you wish. However, remember under R/T Board rules you can not post an existing reservation for trade prior to 30 days before check-in. Be sure to read all of the sticky threads containing the rules on the Rent/Trade Board prior to posting.

Also remember that this situation would basically be considered a mutual rental by DVC, meaning that you would have no control over the the reservation you've traded into...you could not add the dining plan or call MS regarding the reservation, even though you are a DVC Member, as the reservation you are saying on would not be made with your points. DDP and ME arrangements would need to be made by the other owner, and you would need to make their arrangements for them.
