I will be "hosting" (paying for) a dinner for 20 in October. My wish list would be to have a set menu or menu with limited choices so that I can get an estimate of how much the dinner will be. Are there any restaurants willing to work with me on seating, menu choices, etc? I have given OHanah's a thought, but just wondering if there are other choices out there I might be missing.

Is your group registered as a Grand Gathering? If it is, I'd call the Grand Gathering line and talk to them about arranging such a lunch at a specific TS location.

Another option would be to call the restaurant you're considering and talk to a manager directly, and see if they can work with you. Your third option, as you already mentioned, would be a Price Fixed location.

Good luck!! :goodvibes

Thanks so much. We are not registered as a Grand Gathering, but if it affords me possibilities, then I would consider doing so. This is actually going to be the dinner after a wedding. The wedding is booked as a package thru Disney, but does not include a reception. I wonder if that would be "stepping on toes" by the wedding coordinator if I register as Grand Gathering. The wedding is taking place at the Grand Floridian, so Narcoosee's would be ideal. However, like I said, I would like limited menu options. I guess I could call and ask. Thanks again

We have done that for parties at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Just call and check with a manager and they can work with you.

1) Actually, it is a very easy thing to do.
2) You can work with ANY sit-down eatery.
3) The only tough part is getting the seating/tables you want.
4) Think about it: All you are doing is "pre-ordering" the dinner.

I would have asked the wedding coordinator for suggestions about a procedure for booking a dinner like that. I would think the staff who plan weddings would be familiar with this type of request.

If the wedding coordinator isn't helpful, the manager of food and beverage at the Grand Floridian should be able to help.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions everyone. We were told by the wedding coordinator that no restaurant would be able to guarantee that a party of 20 would be seated together after 7 o'clock in the evening. Soooooo, I guess I will call the Grand Floridian and see what we can do!
