DH and I have 7:10 ADR at Kona, we want to get to Epcot for 9:00 fireworks since its our last night. Is this possible, I've tried changing the time but as of now no dice. I really don't wanna spend my last night eating all night.:confused3 Any advice????

It might be alittle "rushy" but I think you could do it. Take the monorail from Poly to the TTC and then take the monorail to Epcot. That's probably the fastest.

I agree the monorail is the fastest way. If I were you I would check a few times during your trip (even the same day) to see if something earlier opens up. If that doesn't work I would get there early and see if they can take you in.

I agree, that it would be cutting it close, but I think you could do it. But, if you do get there, you will probably not be in time for any great viewing spots. Those fill up well before Illuminations start.
I like the idea of continued calling to see if you can move the time. I would saydefinitely get there early, and see if they can get you in. Also, be sure to tell your server at the beginning of the meal that you aren't wanting to linger. I have found that helps as well, when dealing with plans for afterward.

I don't know about the monorail from Poly to TTC part, only because I believe that is the resort monorail, and is running in the opposite direction, So, you have to stop at GF, MK, and CR, before getting back around to the TTC. I would check on that, and consider just walking to the TTC and getting on the EPCOT monorail directly. Nothing is more frustrating than to be pressed for time, and your transpo is held up somehow.

I don't recall which direction the resort monorail runs, but if the TTC is the stop before the Poly it would probably be faster to just walk over to the TTC. Then you'd just have to hop on the Epcot monorail line.

It would be much quicker to walk from the Polynesian to TTC than taking the monrail b/c the monorail would stop at GF, MK and Contemporary before arriving at TTC.

You'll be pushing it, thought it might work.

If you take the resort monorail from the Poly, you'll stop at Grand Floridian, MK, Contemporary and then the TTC where you'll have to switch monorail lines and catch the Epcot one. We always just walk through the Polynesian grounds to the TTC directly because the monorail loop can take awhile. There's a convenient path. From Kona, it's probably a 10 or 15 minute walk which is probably going to be faster than doing the resort monorail loop, but it won't be that much faster probably.

If seeing Illuminations that night is really important to you, you should change your dinner plans.

You do not need to line up for Illuminations anywhere near as far in advance as you do for many other WDW parades, shows and fireworks. I can always find a pretty good place only 15 - 20 minutes before the show. With a 7:10 ADR, if you keep the pace of the meal relatively quick, you should be fine.

You might just show up early for your meal. If they can they will fit you in. If they can't you can relax at the sitting area. I have shown up early before and has no problems getting seated.

You could also limit what you order... no appetizer or desert will save a lot of time. Also you could let the server know that you are a little pressed for time. To get to the WS lagoon in Epcot by 9 you would want to be leaving the poly by 8:15 at the latest. This allows time to walk to the TTC, wait for a monorail in case you just missed one, walk from the monorail to Epcot turnstiles (this is one of the most annoying exit ramps... it seems like you are walking forever and not getting anywhere), and then from the turnstiles to World Showcase. This can easily take 45 minutes to do.
