Is this possible? RD frontier/adventure land?

First timer here going in May with a party of 10:cool1:. Is it possible to RD adventureland, hit the mountains (or vice versa), and then start PP, 7DMT, and HM by fast passes at 11? My thinking was to start left and rotate around to be near the castle for our lunch reservation at 120pm. Since I've never been, I don't know if this is realistic or not to accomplish 2 lands standby before 11am.

Whatcha think? Thanks

I would say that is doable. You can definitely do 3 of the 4 rides (Jungle Cruise, POTC, BTMR & Splash) with little to no waits. Depending on which day you visit MK & weather conditions, the fourth ride you choose can sometimes have a 20-30 min wait by the time you reach it. If you decide to go Jungle Cruise, POTC, BTMR, & Splash in that order, I would assume you would hit ride 4 (Splash) by 10:00 - 10:30 am where usually Splash has a 20 -30 minute wait by then. Those 4 rides can definitely get done by 11 am though, even with some waiting.

However, maneuvering 10 people to 4 rides efficiently (and have them not stop at the gift shops/restrooms) is another story...

Yes . Go straight to Big Thunder and Splash first then to Jungle Cruise and Pirates. I think you should ride Big Thunder first since it does not take long to ride. Doing Splash takes longer and lines will be building for BTM by the time you get off Splash. Easwdw cheat sheets will help you decide. Go to the bottom of the MK cheat sheet and it will tell you the average wait times. https://www.easywdw.com/easy/cheat-...t-sheets-maps-touring-plans-and-wait-times-4/

Thanks all for the suggestions! I make fast passes in 2 weeks so I wanted to know what to aim for.

This would be our first MK day (Tuesday) , which has EMM unfortunately, so hopefully that won't change things. I'm stuck with leaving this our MK day as I can't change CRT (I've been trying). We're going back to MK on Friday to do fantasyland and tomorrow land before leaving.

FWIW, just in case anyone in your group is planning to do shows while others are riding, Tiki Room and Country Bears don’t usually open until 10am. We also had a challenge fitting in Aladdin/Jasmine meet since it didn’t open until 9:30 on the day we rope dropped Adventureland, that was a priority for my daughter so we had to circle back after Splash and BTMRR.

Agree with starting at BTMRR, then splash. Followed by Jungle Cruise and POTC. If you are there at RD, you should be able to do the first 2 with next to no wait. And the other 2 should not have much of a wait by 10.
Good luck. As mentioned above, your biggest challenge will be keeping the 10 headed in a single direction.

This is our plan too in July. Let us know how it works out for you?

Okay first timer with a party of 10 who wants to do rope drop...are all the others on your team cool with this plan? Will they get up and eat and on a bus when you want them to? Are there kids involved?

If so, awesome!

You are excited about Disney and being efficient...but sometimes there are people that just...aren't. Don't know why you need to get up so early. I'm on vacation! Why do you have everything planned? I'm not a robot. Billy didn't want to get up so we will go later. So what about Thunder Mountain I want to go on that big boat. I don't like roller coasters.

Keep in mind; you have thought about what the "big" rides are and how to do as many as you can. We on the disboards think that is awesome!!!
But: Does your party know these are the rides to do? DO they care? Do they like these kind of rides? What if Susie wants to get in line to see Jessie? Do they value planning?

If so, then great. If not, tell them your plan and when they can meet you for lunch.
Always have a back up plan. What will you do if you are at the bus stop and they aren't?

Also lunch at 1:20 might be a bit late for lunch if you go at rope drop...bring granola bars for everyone to prevent the hangries.

Also people think matching shirts are dorky but it sure is easier to spot people when herding 10 people.

Are any of the group elderly or youngish? Consider wheel chairs and strollers even if you normally wouldn't.

You say that the day you are visiting has EMM. Do you meant (EMM) Extra Morning Magic, the paid event that allows access to Fantasyland, or EMH, Extra Magic Hours? EMM will have hardly any effect on your plan, but EMH will because EMH draws a lot more guests than EMM.

Yes, there is a mixture of kids (8,6,3) and adults. My kids are up early and since this is only day 2 I figure the excitement alone will keep them going lol. I have no problem leaving my extended family if they aren't at the bus They are leaving all the planning up to me so if they want something different, they know to speak up or get left out lol.

Yes, our first MK DAY has EMM so my concern is that the people that went to fantasyland during this event would head over to the mountains and screw up my plans. Friday is the second MK day that has EMH and I plan to do fantasyland and tomorrowland.

We typically do that plan on our first MK day. We RD and go straight for BTTMR, then hit Splash Mountain, then either do HM or PoC, depending on which direction we are going. We get ALOT done before lunch. We get our FP+ (in Fantasyland) for right after lunch and try to have those end as early as possible, so we can get more. I don't know how EMM will affect the crowd level, but I can say that Fronteirland isn't super crowded at RD during a normal operating day.

As someone who will be doing EMM, I can tell you, the whole point is to do Fantasyland before the rope drop crowds get there at 9am. So the EMM guests will not be staying in Fantasyland after the park opens; they'll be going to other lands.

Regardless, I am definitely a fan of the frontier/adventureland rope drop. You'll have fun; just make sure you do BTMRR first

Thanks for this post! I was going to make a similar one as we have switched up our normal Fantasyland/PP strategy to the Frontierland/Adventureland one. It’s good to know we should be able to get done what I had hoped. :)

Yes, I think it can work. You will need to be at the park at Rope Drop, and I would head straight for Big Thunder, then Splash. From there, I would knock out Pirates, and the Jungle Cruise, and then get into your FP. I would leave things like the Tiki Room, Country Bears, Hall of Presidents for later on. You can ride them between FP, or in the afternoon, since they seldom get long lines.
