Is this normal? Just got PS at Crystal Palace and...

I JUST got a PS at Crystal Palace 60 days out for August 15. I wanted somewhere around 6:30, but they told me 5:45 was the last seating as the restaurant will be closing then. However, the official park hours say MK is open until 9:30. Does this usually happen, and do you think they will eventually change it?

Hmmm... I would try back and see if you get the same response. If you do, I guess they know something we don't

Something like this is happening to us at Sci-Fi. We want an 8-9pm seating (the park closes at 9pm) and I keep being told that the Sci-Fi is closing at 6:20pm. This is just too wierd to me. I keep trying and hopefully things will change. On many of our previous trips we eat at Sci-Fi even AFTER the park has closed. We've never seen it close before the park and especially that early. Keep checking.

Don't be surprised if it does close that early. We went Memorial day weekend through the next week and Sat and Sun were the only days MK didn't close at 7pm. It even closed at 7pm on Memorial Day! That was the only negative to our trip. I don't understand why the most popular park in the world is the one that closes early. I love being at MK after dark, but the only day it was opened after dark was Sunday...

Something similar happened to me for Aug 15 too - I wanted my TA to make dinner reservations for CRT but then said 5:40 was the last seating. She asked if the park was closing early that night and was told no. Actually I think it's an E-night too but not til 9pm. If anyone else hears what's going on I'd like to know. We ended up making reservations for lunch at CRT instead.

I wanted a PS for dinner at Crystal Palace on July 7th. I called way less than the 60 day out mark and got "the last seating at 5:40". I said to the CM that was kind of strange and he agreed but couldn't find a true answer why.

Only about a week and a half ago I called to see if I can make a later PS and sure enough, got a 6:45! Who knows!!!

I had the same problem when I tried to book Crystal Palace for July 2. The CM said he couldn't book anything after 5:45pm. I wonder what is going on? Maybe they are just taking walk ups from that point on? I actually tried to argue with the CM, because eat there every year and it is usually around 7pm.

It sounds like 'force yielding' to me...they want to fill up certain time slots so they can close early...maybe??

I also called on the 60 day mark for a ps at the crystal palace on Aug 9th. I was told the latest ps was 5:45, the park is open until 10pm with an E night until 1am, the cm had no idea why the last seating was so early.
