It doable if you have the energy I made up a plan I used in June that let us see most everything with little to no wait( involved me sprinting for Fastpasses while friend waited) so it can be done but I'd say get a fast pass for Winnie the Pooh because that line can build fast, usually I get a Fastpass for it while my friend waits at Space Mountain. I was able to do Space Mountain first and then do Buzz with no line being the park just opened. Another suggestion is to take the shortcut through the Plaza Pavillion restaurant to get to Tomorrowland usually no one goes that way and al;ways get a new Fastpass before using the current one.

Hiya

09.00 - No running allowed after rope drop!
09.30 - Think Pooh rides gets very busy so you may need a FP for that aswell
10.00 - Possible queue for Mickey picture & autograph
10.15 - NO WAY can this all be fit in. Train ride & 2 Mountains in half an hour
10.45 - Again you need more time or drop something

You should be ok early morning but people will continue to arrive making it harder for you to stick to your plan time wise, Be flexible with your FP ie, dont get one for Splash mountain rather than BTMR if the stand by queue form splash mountain is only 15mins and BTMR has a queue of 30 mins.

It is excellent to know what you want to do but you may need some rearranging on the day depending on crowds and dont be too upset if something (probably your return to ride again on favourite stuff) has to be dropped.

Have fun!

Okay...please do not take this the wrong way but...

I think you're trying to squeeze a lot into one day. I see a lot of "run to" and "choose" on your list.

While I don't think people should really wander aimlessly about the park, I think it really distracts from the enjoyment if you spend your day running and trying to stick to a perfectly timed schedule.

You do not know what the crowds or weather will be like on your day. You don't know if you'll get on a ride and have it break down (happened to me a few times; Pooh broke down and we have to walk through the ride after waiting for 45 minutes) and take longer than usual. You don't mention if you have kids, but if you've never traveled to WDW with kids before, keep in mind, they might absolutely fall in love with a particular ride. Heck, you could fall in love with a particular ride and want to go several times.

Is this plan doable? During a low crowd/rainy weather day, probably. During a low crowd/nice weather day, possibly. During a high crowd/awesome weather day, probably not.

10:45am (ish)
Walk to Adventureland
Ride Pirates of the Carribean
Ride Haunted Mansion
Return to Splash Mountain and ride using Fastpass
Watch the Enchanted Tiki Room

11:15am

Even during the lowest crowds possible, this would not happen in 30 minutes. The Tiki Room show is about 10 minutes in and of itself. Pirates and the HM are long rides that occasionally stop for a few minutes. Splash is a long wait even with FP and far away from this other stuff.

I'd try to squeeze in another day or cut some of your plans.

Don't think you're going to be able to get a Splash FP at 10:15 if you got your first FP about 9:15 - you probably won't be able to get your 2nd FP until ~ 11:15 (approx. 2 hrs after your 1st FP). In general your schedule looks like it's planned with the best case scenario at every point - walking right on rides, etc. The crowds need to be very low that morning to have a chance at getting most of this done I think.... Have fun tho!

I don't mean to offend you....
But you may consider getting a guide book to see the actual ride times. ;)
And get a full understanding of Fast pass.

From experience.....Even if you grab a FP right at 9:00 you cannot use it until at the earliest 9:45....
However...you can do Space Mtn and Buzz in less than 30 minutes with no lines if you are one of the first ones on.
Then for Fantasyland.....no way to do 3 things in 30 minutes. I think the Philharmagic will take minimun of 20 with absolutely no line and being able to walk right in.

And no way to get to Toontown and through the Judge's tent to see Mickey in that amount of time. Allow at least 30 minutes just to get through there even without a line.

Then by time you get to Splash Mtn....the FP return time might be as long as 2 hours, depending on the time of year and the day of the week.
:confused3

Look up actualy ride times in the guide book and take into consideration walking time (do not RUN....someone will get hurt...and worse yet...you will miss the real Magic of just being at MK!!)

Have fun......and enjoy the time there!!! Even if you have to choose to cut out a ride or two!! :wizard:

The plan is only slightly modified from one provided by Tour Guide Mike. Looks like that was $20 wasted. Glad I checked.

Well,

I don't know who Tour Guide Mike is, but he maybe has not been in the parks on extremely crowded days? :confused3

Part of the fun of WDW is just looking at everything. When you spend your entire trip running frantically from ride to ride, you miss out on a lot.

Does this tour guide Mike guy know about The Sword in the Stone Ceremony, or little girls waking up Tinkerbell at Tinkerbells Treasures?
Does he ever stop and get a cookie at the bakery and sit out on Main St and just admire the beauty of the castle or watch any of the shows and parades?
Does he ever look for the talking trash can in tomorrowland or admire the beautiful plants?
Does he ever stop and laugh at the ducks that everyone who goes to WDW inevitably winds up with several photos of?

It doesn't sound like it. :(

I honestly don't feel a schedule like this can be easily stuck to. You can certainly try but you'd miss the best parts of WDW which IMO, is the ambience of just being there. You'll wind up getting sidetracked by something, at some point. Then, if you've been revolving around a strict schedule, you might wind up dropping something you wanted to do.

Are you going during a peak crowd time? When I went last Dec. I did early entry at MK and did Space Mountain, Buzz, and Stitch in less than an hour. But that was during a very, very slow time of year with early morning entry.
I stayed in the park that Thursday until AFTER Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party and I still did not go on all the rides and see all the shows.

I have to agree....when are going if in may this MAY (no pun intended)work but around june you are looking at 30 plus wait on Splash, Thunder ,HM and Pirates in July and Aug you are talking 1 hr waits!!!!

Not to discourage you because that doesn't mean you can not see everything..what it means is you HAVE to use fastpass better and a little junmping around (only to grab a fastpass or two) is neccessary during the summer. You should take a look at THe Unofficial Guide for touring plan ideas...that doesn't mean you have to follow them to a tee but it will give you a clue as what a good plan looks like for the busier times...if this is value season then disregard everthing I just said lol!

Im going last week of April, first week of may. At the moment planning to do MK on Sunday April 24th.

Esmerelda, Tour Guide Mike is a website http://www.tourguidemike.com/ run by a guy (called Mike :) who operates as a VIP tour guide to people with more money than me ($94 a day!). He used to be a Disney employed VIP Guide but is now independant. He writes park guide articles based around his experience touring the parks every day avoiding the lines. His site also provide full Disney holiday planning facilities.

I think you should recheck Tourguidemike. Several things that you have listed he only recommends fitting in if you are waiting for a fastpass window to open.

I agree with the others. I was tense just reading your plan. I believe that you are following his plan for teens and active adults. I think this means that he assumes that you won't be heart broken to miss Pooh or Peter Pan. Also, if you are a party of teens and adults I would skip Toontown.

10:15am
Catch train at Toontown Station
Stay on train at Main Street
Disembark train at Frontierland Station
Collect Fastpass for Splash Mountain
Ride Big Thunder Mountain
Ride Splash Mountain (without using the fastpass)

10:45am (ish)
Walk to Adventureland
Ride Pirates of the Carribean
Ride Haunted Mansion
Return to Splash Mountain and ride using Fastpass
Watch the Enchanted Tiki Room

11:15am
I honestly believe that this may be physically impossible, even if there were NO lines and you ran from place to place. For example, if you arrive at the TT RR station at 10:15, you might easily wait 5-10 minutes before the train arrives, loads and departs. Then there's 5 minutes to the MS Station, 5 minutes to un/load, then 5 more to the FL Station. That give you only 10 minutes to get a SplM FP, ride BTM and ride SplM. The ride time for SplM and BTM are more than 10 minutes. The schedule for 10:45 is equally bizarre....

Run, don't walk, from this itinerary. If you need good "Commando-style" touring advice, check out the Unofficial Guide's touring plans. They're pretty "go-go", but even they are realistic enough not to put in absolute times.

Kill the plan just decide what you would like to see then go and do it.

Don't forget to have fun!

Wow - I'd say you've got a good 8 or 9 hours of stuff crammed into your 4 hour plan. There is just about NO chance you are going to get on 3 rides in 30 minutes, especially in Fantasyland. And there is NO way you're going to get a photo with Mickey in ToonTown in less than 15 minutes! Plan on more like 40 min. to an hour.

We've been in the MK on busy days when we were lucky to do 3 or 4 rides in a whole morning. Even relatively short wait times of 10 or 15 min. per ride will immediately derail your current schedule. Use FastPass where possible, but it's not a miracle cure. The wait time for that FP can be anywhere from 20 minutes to several hours in the future. You have to plan everything else around it. And you can only have one FP going at a time.

Not to bash TGM, but most of the "paid for" plans I've seen are sort of at the far side of Commando-syle park visiting. If you stick to them, you're likely to be worn out in 2 or 3 hours...and disappointed, to boot. Use these plans as a general guideline, not as an actual minute-by-minute schedule.

The one good thing about most of these pre-made plans is they keep you in a certain area for rides instead of bouncing you from one side of the park to the other and back. Pick a Land and do what you can there. If HM has a long line, try the River Boat. If Pirates is mobbed, go climb the Treehouse or do the Jungle Cruise.

The main idea for all of WDW is to be flexible! And just enjoy the place. Stop and look around. Sit on a bench and have a Mickey bar. Watch the stage shows. It's a beautiful place! Surprises pop up in unlikely places. It's also a very BIG place. Don't expect to do everything in a very limited amount of time. We've been many times and have never been able to do everything we'd like to get in on any one trip.

Just go and enjoy!

YES, YES, YES !!! Follow the advice of the, obviously, knowledgeable posters on this thread. Get yourself an Unofficial Guide and follow the plans to the letter. Don't worry about those Tour Guide Mike subscribers. They'll be so far ahead of you, you'll never even know they were there.

As the resident Disney nut I was elected to chaperone a small group of 10-14 year old girls who really wanted to try and ride as many things as they could. I used the UG and worked up a plan. Noone ran, but our party moved fairly rapidly from attraction to attraction, land to land. It was exhausting but this is how we did it:
(I kept notes on my itinerary sheet just out of curiosity. I'm sure I wouldn't have remembered anything otherwise. The day was a blur. If we waited for an attraction I tried to note the wait time)

EE( Staying at ASMu for Magic Music Days): Tomorrowland
Space Mt.
Buzz Lightyear

EE: Fantsyland
Pooh
Peter Pan (5 minute wait)
(no Mickey's Philharmagic back then)

Opening
Enter Frontierland from Fantasyland (via Liberty Square)
Splash Mt.
Big Thunder Mt.
Train to Toontown

10:00
Met Mickey for pics (this took a while, we had several girls but we didn't stand in a line since Toontown didn't open till 10 and my group of pre-teen dancers had no trouble out-pacing the stroller crowd. )

10:30
Back to Tomorrowland
Alien Encounter. In spite of the fact that the parks were crowded (July) We only had to wait in the outside queue until the next pre-show began. (Actually we had a few girls who skipped this. They took another spin on Buzz and were back and waiting for the AE bunch at the exit.)

11:15
Back to Fantasyland
Teacups (5 minute wait)
Snow White (20 minute or so wait)
It's a Small World

Liberty Square
Haunted Mansion (15 minute wait)

1:00
PS for lunch at Crystal Palace
(While we were waiting to be seated two of the girls ran over to Adventureland to get Fastpasses for the Jungle Cruise for the whole group.)

2:00 (ish)
Pirates of the Caribbean (short wait)
Tiki Birds (next show)
Jungle Cruise (used FP)

At this point the group split up. Some stayed to shop or see other attractions. I ended up leaving the park around 4:00 pm and I was completely wiped. We didn't "do" everything but I really don't see how we could have worked much more in. Those who stayed, however, had a great evening re-riding a few things, shopping, parades etc.

I would like to add that I wouldn't recommend this day to almost anyone else. It involved a lot of rushing around in the July heat. However, my group was young, very fit, and highly motivated. I was tired by lunchtime. The girls were going strong for hours after I left.

Tour Guide Mike does not advocate the plan posted...

Tour Guide Mike offers a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE-so no $20 wasted...just ask for a refund if it does not work out for you...

TOUR GUIDE MIKE discourages COMMANDO type touring like the one posted here--he definitely preaches doing things so there is time for the little things...

I almost regret posting this because the more people use the TOUR GUIDE MIKE plans the less likely yhey are going to work for those smart enough to use them...but I can't stand seeing misrepresentations or just plain lies spread out over the internet about someone who is really a good guy offering an excellent service.

Just wanted to give you an idea of a the plan we used for MK that worked VERY well for us...on the Tue. after Easter no less!!
It was an idividualized plan purchased from the Unofficial Guide.

Tuesday, April 13, 2004
Park Hours: 8:00am - 11:00pm

1. Arrive at the entrance to the MK at 8:00a.m.
2. Ride Dumbo
3. Ride Peter Pan
4. Ride Snow White
5. Enjoy Cinderella's Carousel
6. Ride Winnie the Pooh
7. See Mickey's Philharmagic
8. Ride It's a Small World
9. Ride the Mad Tea Party
10. Obtain fastpass for Space Mountain
11. Ride Buzz Lightyear
12. Ride the Barnstormer in Toontown
13. Experience Donald's Boat
14. Tour Mickey's and Minnie's Country Houses
15. Ride the Walt Disney World Railroad- round trip
16. Ride Space Mountain
17. Ride Tomorrowland Transit Authority
18. Dine at Cinderella's Royal Table at 12:45 p.m.
19. Around 2:00pm take a three and a half hour break, then return to MK.
20. See the Carousel of Progress, then grab dinner at Cosmic Ray's.
21. Ride Haunted Mansion
22. View the evening parade from Frontierland.
23. Ride Splash Mountain
24. Ride Big Thunder Mountain
25. Stop to watch Wishes
26. Pirates of the Caribbean
27. Magic Carpets of Aladdin
27. Jungle Cruise

I admit I had my doubts about this plans workability. We had been to WDW
30 times before this trip, but never during a holiday like Easter. I promise you we did every bit of this and them some even though it was super crowded. And while we did keep the pace livley, we did not run from one attraction to the next either.
Good Luck! :)

Plan and if you get behind on schedule don't stress.Just catch it on next visit or later in your vacation.Have a magical trip and plan on having fun and not to worry trying to do all just take the time to enjoy what you see and do. :goodvibes :wave2: :wizard:
