We are staying at the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird the Saturday night before WDW and the last night, Friday, before we leave. We have a kidsuite reserved, but I cannot seem to find any info about it. Has anyone ever stayed there? Is it a decent place? We've looked at pictures of other Kidsuites in other HI's and my kids are excited about staying there. I hope they are not disappointed :guilty: !

I would do a search on it. It's not like any other Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. You're going to find it's about a 50/50 split on people liking it and not liking it. I for one couldn't stand it.

I'm pretty easy to please-- give me a clean room (modern would be even nicer) and I'm happy. Our room was surfaced clean, they did do that. However the fixtures were very rusty, the carpet had many, many large crusty stains that were 2ftx2ft. The bedding had numerous holes and was tattered. The pool always had way too much debris in it, I'd say 10% of the pool capacity was filled w/ debris (we counted 3 food wrappers the one day--- but the rest of the time it was dirt, mulch, sticks, and such).

It was a hopping hotel, I think because the price is so cheap. We had gotten it on Priceline for $26/nt. Every other Holiday Inn I've stayed at has always been very nice. This one was more up to par w/ a roadside motel you'd get for $19.99 a night.
