CNN is reporting the same thing. I'm sure its for real. Bush would be making a huge mistake if he didn't launch an investigation. I am also sure there will be other investigations led by other partys, which is as it should be so that we can be sure of getting several different points of view.

Oh it's true...and in the same breath he said that Americans have to understand the relationship between the local, state and federal gov't so you can guess what the conclusions of his "investigation" will be.

Fortunately, there has been a bipartisan call for congressional inquiries...you pick which one you think might actually look for the reasons behind the failure to respond adequately.

I think it is important that we all get a civics lesson to know how they do all work in a crises like this...while at the same time...someone screwed up and we need to know who/what/when/where/why--so that it doens't happen again.

This should not be a CMA (cover my...) event.

It sounds like a joke, but it's true. Bush wants to know why he and his administration did such a crappy job.

You guys crack me up! I would agree with LLP that everyone needs a civics lesson so that you understand disaster protocol. Sadly, many do not seem to understand... or more like do not want to admit that they understand... that this was a colossal breakdown of local and state govt in the state of LA.
